I'm considering buying a wrangler and know very lil about them in general.

All makes are welcome to discuss, I'm Jus being realistic with price.

If any one wants to argue points this would be good place to do it.

Sell me the better model wrangler!

biggest difference is that YJs have leaf springs and TJs have coils. YJs will probably be cheaper since they are older

Tj. Alot of parts can be interchanged between it and your zj . Nicer interior than the Yj.

I've owned a couple YJs I can say they are fun, and I like the roll cage look a bit more with the YJs from 92-95 (too square on the TJ imo even though they are similar) However I would still suggest a TJ. Both can be wonderful fun, however, the TJ's I've ridden in, all rode smoother then my YJs. A lot smoother. And as stated, the interior of the TJs is nicer overall then the YJs.

Ha! Jus realized that my brilliant phone F'd up the title.

Any noticeable disadvantages to either. Or things to be aware of immediately?

TJs also have driver and passenger air bags where YJs have no airbags. Something to keep in mind

Good info. That's the type of stiff I'm looking for.

I have to recommend the TJ as well because of the superior suspension setup and the huge aftermarket support. I had one and wish I could have it back. Was a great Jeep. Get the 4.0 6 cylinder model. Plenty of go.
