yet another 96 zj build thread

hey guys new to the forum just thought i'd post up some kind of build of my jeep. it's a green 96 grand cherokee limited that i bought in 2009 with about 176 000 km on the clock. here's a pic of her stock:

did a litle stock wheeling and changed the tires for some toyo's open country cause the old ones were all badly cracked. only poser pics sorry...

then came some bosh fog lights for the bumper. no pics of the instal but here they are.

lift and tires were now next on the to do list. i looked around and finaly decided to go with the rubicon express 4.5 inch short arm kit. seems like quite a few people on here said good things about the kit and went with it. i don't have any pics on the instalation for now but will post'em up as soon as i can... litle flex with stock tires and 4.5 inch lift sory for the dark picutre it's with a cell phone..

then i bought some new rubber and wheels to go with the lift. ended up buying 33/10.5/15 km2`s and soft 8`s. always loved the way them rims looked

went wheeling and then the real fun started... got stuck in a mud hole for about 6 hours until an excavator puld me out... when i finaly got out of there i heard some weird noise comming from under the jeep. a knocking of some sort. ended up being my front drive shaft being bent at the transfer case side and the cv joint blown to pieces. still no true wheeling pics only aftermath and poser lol!

so to this day here's a list of parts that are on the jeep and what i plan for it:
- 4.5 inch RE lift (short arms)
- 33/10.5/15 km2's
- soft 8's
- 6 inch bosh fog lights
- pro comp es 3000 shocks
- RE adjustable front track bar
- RE gen 2 sway bars
- sky jacker steering stabilizer
- cobra 129night watch CB

plans for it now are:
- np231 transfer case
- front and rear tom woods drive shaft
- steel bumper with winch
- rear bumper with tire carrier
- hd steering
- beef up the front diff or change for a d44
- ...

Are you still using the stock rear tracbar?

ZJ DD, WW. 4.go litre modded. 3", 31's. Needs armor.

Yes but i instaled the drop bracket RE provides with the lift kit

dude that thing looks freaking awesome. btw how come the jeep looks black in your second post? i wish i would have saved up and gone with the 4.5" lift from the get go
