Great looking build. I am sort of building my niner up but it will be the street Jeep, I already have another ZJ to wheel. Looks great.

Hey thanks for the LED list that you made. Made it easier for me to find the right bulbs. Awesome build by the way.

Thanks man! Yeah I saw your thread and the niner looks sweet! Yea as of right now, mine is a street Jeep but even if I do lift it, it'll still pound pavement .

No problem. Superbrightleds has a confusing website so I wanted to make it a little easier for people .

Deep Slate Grille

HID's are now installed! I will get better non-cellphone pics sometime this week.

What housing did you use? I have been finding some on ebay, I saw a set that is euro style, kind of like yours. I am planning on doing HIDs after I do LED tail lights. You still have the white grille? Awesome build by the way.

Hey Eric,

I always hear how you shouldn't put HID's in regular halogen headlight housings due to excessive glare...

How about posting some pictures of your beam patterns at night on a dark road and on the side of a building's wall directly to the front; low beams only, high beams only, fogs only, and finally, low beams + fogs together.

Also, how about posting some pictures at night showing what your Jeep's low beam headlights look like to oncoming drivers from say, 100 or so meters?...

Thanks.

I have the Ebay crystal clear euro headlights. Yes I still have the white grille but I plan to keep it so I can switch between the white/black grille when I please.

Yeah I heard that too but the halogens that came with the headlights were crap and the halogens I had previously weren't any better. So instead of going with expensive high power halogens, I went with DDM Tuning HIDs. Cheap, but very good quality!

I too hate blinding headlights in my rear view mirror and on-coming traffic. I aimed my headlights more toward the ground and straight ahead. Surprisingly the HID's aren't blinding at all! Yes, they are brighter to look at directly then halogens but the light output is much better. I wouldn't lie but for on-coming traffic it isn't blinding at all. I have yet to be flashed and I've driven a lot at night since I've had them. I personally think a BMW's or Range Rovers headlights are a lot brighter and blinding to look at in the rear view mirror and on-coming traffic.

I will try to get the best pictures I can. I tried to last night but my camera isn't very good, and it was foggy as hell so any headlight put out a lot of glare. Also, I do not have high beams because I did not get the Hi/Lo 9004 bulb option. I will try to get pictures hopefully this week. But heres the only good one I took last night:

The DDM H3 bulbs fit fine in the housing and lock into place fine. The only case is the extra wiring the HID bulb requires. Below the fog housing is that "cap" held on by 2 phillips screws. That won't be able to be put back on unless modified. I drilled a large enough hole in the "cap" and fed the wires through to the outside. The bulb's wires come with a built in grommet which fit perfectly in the hole I drilled. I copied this exact idea:
