My few and far between not so build thread
so i dont do enough often enough to have my own build thread but i just picked up my hp30 and 8.8 this weekend. got the 8.8 about a half hour ago lol. ordering my gears and lockers this week sometime. hopefully will have it all built up in the next 2 weeks. now i just have to decide which gears i want to go with 4.56 or 4.88

Might as well go 4.88. More power and mileage isnt reallly gonna be different. The slower crawl speed is good also.

got my elockers and gears this week in the mail. gonna get some work started on them on monday! gonna say i like the side of the box. good poser pic

I honestly couldn't make up my mind. A few of my friends suggested both I went bigger in the case cthat one day I move to seven inches and bigger tires

4.88s and 31's is going to be nuts. You need to move up to 33's now.

I can't wait to get bigger tires! Looking to get 33s or 35s. After that I can be a part of the 33s or larger thread :-)

4.88 gears are a bit weaker than 4.56s is why i stuck with 4.56s on mine
and yeah.... your going to hate driving that thing with 4.88 and 31s

Small pinion on the 4.88, I guess the ring teeth are smaller too.

hmm didnt know that. makes me regret my decision... i was goin to order 4.56 but like i said some friends talked me into to it. oh well ill make due anything will be better than my 3.55

If you're going to regears a d30, get an hp30 and regear it, although i would assume its too late, being that you already ordered the gears
