I would suggest NOT putting it on the pass side. It creates a more dangerous blind spot.'
I know some who can get by with only 2 side mirrors, but why have it in the way when its just as easy to have it on the drivers side. The weight is non issue when the latch is locked.

looking good man.....where did u get the latch from? it looks pretty beefy and I need to upgrade the one on my carrier since I broke it

and Im finally getting your old steering set up on......its only been 4 months hahaha

That looks real good. I understand the desire to put the tire on the driver's side, but I'm sure you'll get used to it on the passenger side. Very nice build, too.

If it makes you feel better, mines on the driver side and my rear view is worthless too. I don't think you would have gained or lost anything by putting it over there..

A little update here. the jeep has been heating up on these hot summer days and im not sure why. i tossed a new thermostat in there and it didn't help a bit. i ditched the spal fan and put the stock one back in. the radiator is less than 6 months old and is not leaking. im not really sure what im going to do. im thinking maybe its running on the rich side causing it to heat up. im averaging about 11-12 mpg under normal driving. there isn't any CEL and the fan is running as it should. ive never had this problem and im at a brick wall with it. on a better note i plan on picking up a new 2013 ram 2500 as a DD in august so the jeep will become a project for me to play with on my days off.

Rich will run cooler, lean is hotter. Make sure all the air is purged out of the cooling system.

i checked for air a couple times and nothing that i can see is out of normal. not really sure what is going on.

Cracked exhaust manifold? O2 sensor issues?

I'm not sure how common it is on the WJs but the Wrangler side's 4.0s are notorious for cracking exhaust manifolds which causes fuel mixture problems.

That said, it would be a kinda obscure reason you were getting warm.

im not sure whats going on. there is no CEL so i would assume the mixtures are close to being alright. i may try to put a water pump on it to see if maybe the blades are chewed up. it does great if it stays about 70* out. ill look into it more when i get some time off. luckily its only a 10min drive to work so it cant heat up too much.
