Alright guys, not the worst stuck but I was stuck nonetheless. I'll put captions below each picture.
This was the "stuck" situation before attempting recovery. I thought I could ease my front end into the mud hole to break up the thick ice before we tried to plow through it. Needless to say however it was a bit deeper than I expected. With a rear locker I could have gotten out very easily and I must say that the KM2's are unbelievable incredible in deep strip mine mud.
this was the end result of my friend attempting to recover me in his WJ. There was a 50' cliff about 15' behind me so we had to pull from the side. We both learned a valuable lesson that day that it is VERY important to constantly watch the vehicle you're pulling. I was almost rolled over on to my side but no photos of that because there was no one to take the picture! Also funny that in a state of panic you yell inside your Jeep to STOP instead of blowing the horn!
This was the other side after almost being rolled over. I'd have to say that if it wasn't for the Soft 8's pushing those 31's out I would have been finished.
From the position I was in I eased the throttle very easily and came up out of there like nothing.
im more or less just posting this to subscribe but heres both of my jeeps..neither was able to move under its own power (xj after it rolled and getting it ready to go into storage and putting my system in the zj so it was torn apart)
Glad you are ok. If you were a cat, you would be down to 8.:D
This was last April went turkey hunting, didn't get to hunt much! lol I went threw the same hole two weeks before( got video of it on here some where) but not such luck this time. Its been said guy with 38" play in this hole. Now the second set is my time in the U.P. I got up there at 1am we went 8miles deep on old charcoal grade road, so narrow my ZJ with yaks had to trim trees. We got to a spot witch I had about 1" on each side of the truck. Went real slow and the pine log bridge I could not see gave in. We set up camp, and spent 5 hours the next morning with oe screw jack, axe, trees cut in smaller sections and one long log as a lever to get out! Why because only two wheels were spinning. I now have a 8000 lb mile marker so hopefully it wont be as much work . And hopefully an aussie locker soon after the 4in lift
