Lessons learned: Don't go wheeling without recovery points (put your hitch back on)

Sliders would have made life soooo much easier. Hi-lift under the slider, stack rocks underneath and drive right out.

Any questions?

lol i ended up putting my trailer hitch back on, the night i got pulled//
i tried to put rocks underneath my wheels, but ended up knocking my front bumper loose.
hehe sliders.. i wish. even if i had a hi lift (which i could have borrowed from a friend), it would have sunk it the ground like the other jacks we tried to use to raise my "frame" off the ground..
also, it helps if my 4lo engages.
and it also helps if i dont try and back out of the area i was in...
and of course, if i had bigger tires and a lift it would help

my mom said, this will be a learning experience and you will laugh about it later (at the time i was down)
i looked at her and go "yeah ill be looking back in a year, saying thats why i got a lift"
she just laughed along with my gf

I'm thinking KMA needs to do some thinking on that rear bumper

recommend that it be welded to the vehicle not held on by bolts...

No kidding, that is a HUGE redmark against them. I really think you need to let them know what happened.

Bolts are find to hold on a bumper by, as long as they're designed properly.

there was a L shaped bracket which with or without a hitch you bolted to rails like a normal hitch would.. they just send you longer bolts.. .. so yeah the bolts ripped through the rails and thats why the bumper was on the ground.. the bumper holds up well, i dropped 2 feet or so onto it and barley scratched it..
