WJwheelin's build thread (JeepZilla)

I figured I'd start one so I can add things to it as I go.
Well here she is, 99' Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7.
She's my 1st Jeep and I love it, I've had 4wd's before but they don't compare to the WJ I'm very impressed so far with there capabilities.
A good family friend nick named her JeepZilla and it just kinda stuck.

Ok so far she has
6.5" IRO critical path lift front LA's with 2" BB's (Removed BB)
RS9000XL shocks
Adjustable rear LCA's
NV247J T-case------------------------------------Now 231 T-case
D30 front D44A rear with 4.11's-------------------- Now hp44 and 9" with 4:56s
Posi front, lock right rear
295/70 Toyo MT Open Country's on ProComp 17's--- Now 35/13.50 15s
Uniden PRO538W CB and 2' firestick
Kevins off road roof rack
HID low beams and fog lights
Double, single front drive shaft. Double, single rear
2" A-Arm spacer (No More)
IRO Premium Sliders
IRO Adjustable A-Arm
T-case skid
4x Hella 500 Black Magic lights

I want:
Front & Rear bumpers -------------------- Done
Winch
Axle swap ------------------------------- Done
T-case swap ---------------------------- Done
Front diff cover, rear skid/pinion cover
Locker ---------------------------------- Done
35/13.50s ------------------------------- Done
Spyder smoke headlights
Superchips programmer
17" Beadlock rims
Roll cage
Tank tuck/ fuel cell
I'll add more things as I remember.

dang that thing is tall, hows it ride with 8inches of lift? any driveline vibes? it looks like your rear control arms are basically vertical, ever think about getting adjustable or longer rear lowers? combined with the a-arm spacer you could push the axle back and re-center it in the wheel well, would look a ton better and probably drive bettter, fix your (probable) driveline vibes.

looks like a beast though, and you're future list will be sick when it comes to fruition. how about lockers?

and lastly im infinitely jealous of where you live

What's the reasoning behind 8.5" of lift? Seems needlessly unstable.

She's riding alot better since I adjusted the rancho's. I don't get any rear driveline vibes but I do get a little front vibe, why I want to get with a double double u-joint front shaft. The rears are adjustable lowers, I have it sitting where its at so when the tires come up into the wheel wells they're a little to the back and I don't get any rubbing. I DD her and she drives pretty good for being so high lol OHH and yeah I gotta add lockers to the list

Originally I was going to take out the BB's but since wheeling her I love the extra clearance and she is surprisingly stable.

Ive seen your jeep on cardomain when i first joined.. always wanted to know more about it. Did you do all the work on it or buy it like that? Looks great, loving the color. Dont see many limited green dubs modded out..

Just some things that I want to say though..

Personally, i would take that BB out and put on some sliders, clearance doesnt beat being rolled over on the trail! You can easily fit that size tire without the bb, and it would make your jeep float down the road, youd be surprised in the difference in ride quality. Im at 5.5" in back and technically 7.5" up front (5.5" spring and 2" bb for the front bumper, weighs down to 6.5"), anyways, it rides really really nice. Just my thoughts. Sliders are the first mod i did to my jeep and it always will be with any other rig I get. Especially with the terrain that your in, sliders would open up the amount of trails you could go on immensely.

All in all, great jeep man, you got a great overall rig on your hands! Take care of it and it will be the best wheeler youll have, maybe minus a beater yota :P

I like it alot man nice looking WJ. I have to agree with above posters though, a little less lift and sliders would be more usefull in the terrain you wheel in my opinoion. If you were wheeling more mud and just wanted to stuff bigger tires in there then the big lift would make sense, but you could fit those with less lift and it would help with the off camber stuff. Overall really nice jeep man!

A beater yota? Agree with you that he should remove the BB and run less lift+add sliders though
