How do you like those Smittybuilt covers? Do they fit OK or do they move around alot when getting in and out of the Jeep? How is the bottom attached securely? Sorry for the questions, I was looking at getting one for the drivers side. Thanks

I like them or the most part. They stay put pretty well. If you noticed I put them under the switch cover and that helps alot. They are for wranglers so the top of the cover fits the worse.

That looks great. I didn't know TW had a SYE for the 242. Looks like thats one more thing to add to my list of things to buy.

Let us know how it does with the vibes.

Actually it says to upgrade if you have a 4.7 that does not have hydraulic cooling which would be the 99 and 00 model years I think. The 4.0 is fine, no heat problems in over a year.

ive got a question about how you fit your 15s on your rig.

i have a buddy that has an 02 WJ and were trying to get him some wheels, but 16s are too much and so are the tires for them.

were the calipers too big, did u have to shave them down at all? or did they just slide on and that was that?

any info you have would be great! thanks

I have 15x8 soft 8s with 4" of back spacing. It is a crap shoot if they will fit with out modding, I would try eavery rim on each of teh front hubs to make sure none of them will touch. I put a little grease to make sure I had about a 1/8" of clearance.

As it turned out mine did scrape just a little and I took a 4 in grinder and cleaned up the outer edges of the brake calipers. Probably removed 1/16" of material on both fronts. You are grinding on the outer edge where there is no fluid and a lot of structural material so it was easy and worry free.

in my cubby hole up front, i put my rock light switches.. they are so clean there. wires are all hidden... and uber sneaky sneaky

which ones are you referring to? the street tires? they are 17x8 American racing crush rims. They are the size listed in their catalog for fitting a Jeep GC. I think 4" BS but not positive. They were the only ones they had in that style with a 5x5 bolt pattern. The offroad tires are on Cragar 15x8 Soft 8s with 4" of BS.

i have hella rubber housing lights. 4.75 inch diameter. they have hella good spread. and they are pretty cheap. like 10 bucks a piece if you search online for them. you will have to weld them on, damn unibody. lol.
