What Tires?

i will hopefully be getting new cragers and tires by the end of the week and would like JF's opinion on what i should get.
They will be 30x9.5R15 on 15x8 Cragers with 4" BS.

I will also be selling my 5.9 Limited wheels.

Thanks-Charlie

Yikes, a 9.5" tire on an 8" rim, I feel bad for whoever mounts those tires. Anyways, what kind or driving do you do? Any offroading?

I mounted my old 10.5" tires on an 8" rim and that sucked. I had to get the bottom bead to stick and then get the top bead to seal without breaking the bottom bead. If you pay someone though I wouldn't worry about it, it's their problem lol.

The BFG MT's that I have make almost zero road noise. I can hear them a little bit on the highway with the windows down but that's it. They will wear faster and suck in wet/slippery conditions. I spin them all the time in the rain, I can't imagine the winter...

IMO, a BFG AT would be your best bet. I also hear good things about the general grabber AT 2's which are identical to BFG AT's.

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's. I switched to them from Kumho Mud terrains, tread is just as aggressive, but a LOT quieter, and still does well off-road.

Personally, I hate BFG A/T's, I had a set before the Mud Terrains, and all 4 of the original tires I bought had issues with the belts shifting, and 3 of the replacements, and that was with no off-roading. Co-workers of mine had similar problems. IMHO, they not worth the money, the quality is no longer there for the money.

i have destination m/ts. they're totally aggressive but they generate a whole heck of a lot of road noise. i'm used to it by now though. i've gotten so many compliments on them. i do drive highway a lot back and forth to school they've got great grip but if you don't like road noise, i might steer clear of these.

Firestone Destination AT's

Look_Here

Had 'em my Ranger...75% on road and 25% off road and very happy with wear, traction (especially snow/ice), looks, and price.
Check the reviews at bottom of link.

I agree with Magnuts. The Kuhmo's KL71's are great, and for the price can't be beat. I have around 15k on them and they still look almost new. I got mine for $850 installed, and that was for 5 tires.
