What is my Jeep worth?

Ok so I'm getting into the financial situation where i need to part with my Jeep. I'm logging 530 miles every other week pretty much since Christmas. I want to sell it and go to a TDI. I've documented everything in my build thread.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f197/...thread-902929/

Basically 2002 WJ Overland 4.7HO 128K
Alpine Head unit with ipod/usb
Alpine tweeters and 6x9s
Polk 6.5s

In Dash Inverter 400/800w 2 outlets with USB
Cobra 75WST CB
Rear hatch light w/ dimmer

Zone 4in lift
IRO front uppers
IRO retainers
RC Discos
KOR SS
1.5in wheel spacers
Rear Addco
265/70R17 Treadwright MTRs 20k on this stuff or less

Upgraded Headlights
upgraded H1 bulbs

Custom Rear Tire carrier with hi jack mount, axe mount, and bottle opener
Rear tow hook

New inner front axle seals
New battery
Oil changed regularly with synthetic (Amsoil, Mobil)
Diffs done regularly
Transmission fluid and filters done
New spark plugs
New PCV
New ujoints
PS Fluid changed
Exhaust manifold bolts done at 110k

Can throw in a 242 for swap
A snorkel for install
Other spare parts/stock parts

Current codes P0158 2nd O2 Sensor never replaced it because there is no point

EVIC doesn't work, spare included with extra bulbs
light behind AC knob is out
Seat heaters don't work, filament issue, new switches included.

Let me know what you think.

You wont get much for all the improvements unless you find a buyer that's interested in what you've done. All the benefits, weighed against the age/damage, could bring you to high book value, but that would probably still leave you at a loss.

04ovrlnd is selling his very similar Jeep for $4,500. I managed to get $5,000 for my WJ a couple months ago.

As an example, I've got $10k+ into my '95 XJ, and I'd be lucky to sell it for half of that. BUT, I'm not at a loss, nor am I done spending more on 'er. I don't plan to get rid of it, not only cuz of the loss I'd take, but because this is my dream vehicle/toy.

I saw that I'd like to think i could get a little more because i have fewer miles. Honestly I'm just trying to get a TDI so 6k would be nice.

When you say TDI, are referring to a VW?

You should check out Mautofied.com . It's a website for people to sell/trade customized vehicles. I had a lot of interest there when I was selling my WJ. It's a huge market for people with modified cars that wouldn't usually appeal to normal people. They have a whole section for Jeeps. You could find somebody with a nice TDI and see if they'd trade. Here's a couple of the WJs for sale there now, just for reference:

$13,500

$10,500

$10,000

$7700

$7500

I'd imagine he's either talking about a VW or an Audi...

I wouldn't spend all your money on the car, they get sold cuz they have problems. Usually those problems are too costly for the previous owner to fix, along with all the maintenance that doesn't get done due to the cost.

If you just want cheap and mileage, get a civic.

If you got your heart set on a TDI, we wish you the best. But for the price, I too would buy a Honda...and a cheap XJ.
