Drove around all day with a scanner on the jeep and my buddy next to me trying to figure out why the thing has been breaking up since replacing the exhaust manifold. Found the problem, bad upstream O2 sensor, I guess the crack in the old mani tricked the sensor enough to make it run decently. New sensor in and it runs good.

Snapped off a bolt head while installing the rear sway bar, flipped it off, and went inside and had a beer.

Drove it, discovered there are now steel bands showing and a weird wear pattern around the outer edge of my right front tire. There is about a 6" length of steel band showing, with a little more showing toward the middle.
How long do I safely have before needing new tires? I'm planning on getting some very soon but I'd still like to know.

I'd stay off the highway with that tire. A band coming out of the tire can't be a good thing.

If you have a full size spare, I would put it on...

I have the 249, and all 4 of my tires are about 90% worn while the spare is about 10% worn. That would probably cause more problems than it's worth. I'm pretty sure the longest i'll still be rolling on this tire is a week.

If it's only a week, should be okay. Just be careful, and as mentioned before, try to avoid the highway. A high speed blowout is most definitely something you don't need.

As for me, I've been smelling exhaust in the cabin when the vent is on (heat or just fresh air), so feared the worst...exhaust leak. I popped the hood tonight when I got home and found that the PCV valve had worked itself free of the valve cover. Put it back in, and we'll see what it does in the morning.

Anybody have a parts list that can track down the Mopar number for the PCV grommet for me? List price would be great too, but I do have some resources on that if necessary.

I don't remember the mopar number when I replaced mine, but I do remember that I paid well under 10$ for it from Pro Jeep in Northglenn. Stock item also.

Picked up the Mopar TC skid from the dealer today. When I went there, the open space I parked in was right in front of a new orange Challenger (sorry no pic).

I'll be bolting up the skid this weekend and changing the motor oil.

Pic of the skid.....

Yeah, but Brian, yours is all blurry - I think you'll have fitment issues there

And for my grommet search, I found the parts fiche, and it's part number 02946079. Just need to find list price now.
