Filled it with gas.....$52 for midgrade. Yeah, get a 6 cylinder....save money they said. 290 miles on a full tank, although the 32" tires arent helping.


2000 WJ 4.0 @ 4.5" Rusty's 2.5 coils, Teraflex 2" spacers,
Rancho 9000 shocks, OME SS,
Rusty's adjustable track bar , full 3"
exhaust and BFG All- Terrain
265/75/16's.

Cause where I always go for gas, Im hearing rumors of water in the low grade and ppls engine spinging, so I shelled out I think an extra 12 cents or so to get the mid. I usually get low though.

i just finished installing my 12 inch custom lift, bolting on my 40" tires and dropin in a blown 454 bigblock.
nothin big just got bored... donuts r more fun now

Adjusted my front LCA's 4 turns shorter to reduce my caster angle by about 2. That should put it in the +4 to 4.5 caster range that Turdaflex recommends.

I had been having some problems with death wobble, and read an excellent post regarding "rake and trail" as it pertains to Jeeps and larger tires. Basically adding larger tires increases the "trail", so you have to reduce the caster to account for that.

Unfortunately, I cant give a quantitative engineering analysis as to whether it made any difference because I added Kevins dual SS last weekend, and it pretty much fixed any sort of shimmy I had, but every little bit helps.

On Saturday I changed the gear oil in both the front and rear diffs and used LubeLockers instead of RTV. Highly recommended.

Changed oil and threw a quart of some of that thick stuff in there to keep things running smoother.

Ran down a problem, two bolts from my headers to the head gasket are lose and throwing a f*cking fit!! Can't get to them myself without a lot of trouble so I'm bringing it back to the shop tomorrow.

Sprayed the hell out of my steering components with PB blaster in preparation for the steering upgrade.

Put a lot of money in the gas tank and popped in my new headlights. So clear and shiny! I wet-sanded my old ones, the yellow went away but they just looked cloudy and nasty. I got the pair with new bulbs and harnesses for $35 plus $15 for shipping. Good deal. Got 'em from doctorautoparts on eBay if anybody's curious.

I just got back from Silver Lake State Park, went up for a few hours and had a blast! Though I did loose my exhaust (who would have thought I would need a hanger after the tranns crossmember? ). Oh well open exhaust it is (for now). I am currently downloading video from the last few trips, anybody know of a good site to host it for free? PM me if you can help.

I got talked into spending way more then i thought i would on my lift. Rock Krawler was out of there 4.5" coils so i spent everything to afford the 6.5". I guess if its worth doing, do it right. Or something like that

Well, let's see - swapped out the 3.5"REs for 4.5"REs. Added a dropped pitman arm. New wheel bearing hub units. Bilstein 5150s all the way around and 33x12.5 Truxus MTs. Alignment and adjusted everything.
