Went crawling around the junkyard.

Got:
Gas tank skid plate
Front driveshaft
front yoke
stock tow hooks
some misc things.

Then me n my buddy trimmed some plastic, and fixed a few odds n ends.

I installed the front tow hooks I picked up at the junkyard a while back. I drilled a hole and cleared out my AC drain (and plugged the hole). I put on new plugs and wires. The only thing I did not get done today that I wanted to was to install the gas tank skid I found at the junk yard. The bolts on the hitch are on there tight. I am going to have to borrow an impact to get them off. Overall a pretty productive day though.

Went to the JY with my wife looking for misc. parts. Found floor mats, fog lamps and a side mirror for her Jeep. Found the tow brackets I need to complete the factory up-country/skid and tow hook option for mine. Also found pristine leather seats that I can't get out because the rear bolts are in-accesable. Just started a thread asking for ideas. Also found a complete set of skid plates I will PM "Indianajeep" about.

Using his buddy as an example, would it be worth installing a couple of u-shaped brackets spaced apart to catch falling drive shafts in the event a u-joint breaks? I don't remember what, but I've seen them installed elsewhere in the past. Just wondering.
