Gave it a bath. I had to do something to keep myself busy...I'm going nuts trying not to smoke.
I also rummaged around in the garage and found what i needed to mount my full size (31") spare in the stock location. It rubs a little against the lift struts for the hatch. At least it takes up less room now. I have to get a weeks worth of "stuff" for a family of four back there.

Good luck with that packing Shannon! I think you need a roof basket now .

Today I put in some lucas in the tranny (shifting a little hard). Washed it then toted a bunch of detailing stuff to my first customer! Now I'm just sitting here twittling my thumbs waiting for my exhaust.

Put the Laredo up for sale for $2300. I'll miss it too . . . it's getting 18.8 mpg mixed driving with the 32" tires on it.

Do you have another Jeep? It's sad to see it go. I like the Laredos. Only $2300, too?

Yeah, I picked up a Platnium 5.9 a couple weeks ago. $2300 because I'm trying to get rid of it quickly and its got a few minor issues.

Haley, look closely at my avatar pic. See the full length roof basket on the XJ? Hubby won't share.

My being mechanically...limited to say the least, I took the ol' ZJ in for a looksie after noticing an ATF leak yesterday. Bah, but the seal between the transmission and the TF is going, leaking rather well actually. So the shop is going to replace it, but pricey as heck. The seal, $9.00. The labor, $225. Yeah, I live in a small town, and things cost. I've let that leak go for two years now. It was bound to need dealt with eventually. The BG fluid helped seal it for a year now, but it's finally going. I'm just glad it didn't come gushing out on a road trip or wheelin' somewhere. Glad I always carry extra ATF, also.

I'm having the diff fluids changed and as well as the transfer case ATF. Going with the BG synthetic for that. Might as well. I know my Jeep isn't worth much anymore, but it's got value to me. I can't afford anything else, even with the CfC insanity. I don't want to see my Jeep die a horrible death either. I'd love to lift it, but these things keep adding up.

To all those that will say, do it yourself, eh, one person cannot know how to do everything. I haven't the time or inclination to fix every issue on my Jeep. I love the thing, but I have a job and responsibilities beyond wrenching on a 13 year old vehicle every day. I'd love to know all the ins and outs, but that's not happening in my current situation. It sucks a lot as this stuff costs me. I hope to one day have time and gain the knowledge/experience so I won't need these leaches of garages anymore. I do what I can myself, but man is that limited. This is why I learned to build my own computer. I guess I should've been learning to wrench at the same time. Techy geek here.
