put the driveshaft back in, no more vibes somehow. Must be the jeep god's divine miracle. Glad I had 4x4 back so I could laugh at all the idiots who drive 10mph in an inch of snow.
It was also the first time in the snow with the new tires, and holy crap they are awesome. I only lost traction once and by the time I realized it, my T case was engaging the front wheels (4x4 full time)
found some tires on craigslist that im thinking about getting. they are 265/75/16 firestone destination a/t's on 04 silverado rims. 4 of them for 150. its a hell of a deal so im thinking, how much do you think i could sell the rims for because i obviously dont need them

For all the '03 GC owners. Not sure if this applies to all engines. Mine is the 4.7 HO. I had a leak at the hose connected to the power steering pump. It went to the hydraulic fan. No auto parts stores carry this hose. The Jeep manual shows it, but only calls it a 1/2" hose. The CD parts disc finally shows it as a hydraulic fan hose with a part number. It isn't the same as the oem one for the '03. It actually looks like the one on my '04. The difference is in the way it seals, which probably accounts for the leak. The nut is a 20mm. Helps to take off the upper rad. hose. Upper end has odd angle so do this one first not tight, but be sure to have the lower end kind of in place to thread on. I did the opposite and couldn't get the top threaded till the bottom was undone. Just wanted to give a heads-up.

drove it to class this morning then called into find out what job i was going to be sent on. turns out there is no work and i got sent home. from my dads company... yeah.
and then i drove to the jeep dealership finally (8 months later) to get the speedo gear and the guy looked through his computer for about 3 minutes while i moseyed around and then said it was going to be $57. yeah for a little plastic gear. i did the whole PSSSH! like when you spit out coffee noise, and said "yeah... i'll see you later" with a grin of disbelief.
but i guess i'll change the oil, not due yet but o well, change out the front diff with some 70-90 if i recall correctly and fart around the rest of the day. maybe play with my new cam and get some poser shots for yall.
Got to love an ORVIS guy...

Replaced the 99 WJ front axles at 135k. Hub and rotor were both very stuck. Funny thing is the passengers side cv boot was cracked and leaking and not clicking but the drivers side has been clicking for a year and was starting to make noise constantly so I went ahead and changed them both.

I drove it to the dealership to hope that they'd have the nutserts so I can finally mount my TC skid. No luck. Went to the Dodge dealership, and they found the part number but said it was discontinued and out of stock.
I really, really need the nutserts by tomorrow because we were planning on going wheeling Saturday.
On the upside, I bought the rear hitch bezel while I was there because it's not much cheaper online anyway. The parts guy had ordered one for his personal Jeep, so he gave me that one (at a discount) and ordered himself a new one since he couldn't find the nutserts. Pretty nice guy
dau-howeveryouspellthat-raised: Props on the creative CB location. That will look really good once you get some trim around the edge of the cut.
