Wanting to paint front grill

Hey all, I wanted to plastidip my chrome grille grey to match the fenders since I have a black bull bar. How do you guys determine what's the closest shade?

I figured Id just look at a picture of my jeep on Gimp and get the specific Hex color of the fenders.

Will plastidip work? I assume yes but would like to hear input. I figured the grey would be a nice touch up instead of chrome :

Thanks all!

I used black Plasti-Dip and loved it. Here's a good tip, clear-coat your Plasti-Dip after it dries. You can choose a rattle can clear coat in many finishes. If you don't clear coat it with something, the plasti-dip will stain.

Thanks for the tip about the clear coat! Im thinking 2 coats of plastidip and 1-2 coats of clear coat? I dont really know if black would look so good since the only thing black on my jeep is the bull bar. Was either thinking the color of the plastic (dont know what specific color it is) or the red of my jeep "inferno red".

I think black always looks good but its my preference.
Here is a color chart for plastidip the gunmetal gray looks really close.
You could always go into the store and just ask if you can take the can outside the cap color is pretty spot on most times for color.

Thanks for the chart! You're right, the gun metal grey is pretty similar
