I came up with a cheap solution to get the spare mounted. Only cost me $15.

I bought some nuts, bolts, and washers along with a piece of sheet metal from home depot.

Cut it, and measured and drilled some holes.

After this I test fit the new rim and the original swing arm.

Everything fit well, and I still had leftover metal. I doubled up the outer plate and put another plate behind the metal on the tire carrier.

All done!

That's all for now. I was hoping to get the 231 in over the past couple days, but I haven't had time and one of the bolts holding the driveshaft on is stuck and won't move...still working on a solution to the problem :/

I just got back from a week in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and took some cool jeep pics.

Had to get a beautiful girl in one of these pictures

This was a long trip and my odometer rolled over to 180k while driving home

Alright, I completed the 231 swap and it is awesome. Really glad I finally did it. Replaced all the seals and everything works fine. Never done anything like that before so I feel really great that I was able to do it myself.

I also just did my first radiator flush and have decided that I don't want to do that job in the future...lol. Probably can't anyways since the apartment complex I just moved to doesn't allow me to do work on my jeep here...which I am slightly annoyed with, but owell. Now I need to reattach the tcase skid and go offroading.

Thanks! I graduated in may and just started my new full time job last week.
Once the money starts flowing in and I get some bills paid I'll start doing more.

Current things I want to do (No particular order):
-Cut out the rockers and get rock sliders welded in
-New shocks
-new control arms
-track bars
-8.8 swap
-maybe hp d30 swap
-lockers
-kolak exhaust
-headers

new bumpers will be last on the list...everything else is more important right now. There's probably some stuff missing from this list too, but I can't think of it right now. lol.

Good looking Jeep bud. Like everyone else, I'm jealous of the color. I'm a new ZJ owner and love the look of that tire rack on the back! Also front headlights look awesome, nice and clear. Are those aftermarket or just cleaned? I live in CO too bro...Lakewood.

Thanks!
They are aftermarket lights. The mounts suck though. That's my only complaint with them.

Over the weekend, my parents bought a cherokee for my brother to drive:

Then my dad and I got to work fixing the small things on it and here it is as of now:

Bumpers replaced and painted, rust sanded off and covered with primer (for now until we get time to paint it/match the paint), and larger tires put on.

Hopefully within a month or two I'll be doing more to my own jeep.

did you use wheel adapters, or do you have different axles in there? How did you fit the JK wheels to the ZJ?
