Do you have trailer brakes on the camper, or are the Dub's brakes enough? With the bigger tires and all I was wondering how it would manage towing. You've still got stock gearing, right?

Sorry, one more thing - do you know the size and length of that bolt by chance?

My Jeep came with the tow package, so all I had to do was wire up a electric brake controller which I did about 2 months after buying my jeep. I towed a 1931 model A on a flat bed trailer from Washington to Utah and that was really high and heavy. Glad I had electric brakes.
The camper had trailer brakes. I wouldn't recommend towing anything that big without trailer brakes. My bigger tires didn't seem to affect the towing at all and yes I'm still at stock gearing.

I don't know how big it is off the top of my head. I can check when I get off work tonight.

Here are some pictures of my most recent trip. I did this trip back in October right after I lifted to the RCX lift. I went with my buddy and his 1500 Ram. The Jeep had no problem, but my buddy's truck took some extra driving skills.

And here's the Jeep at the top. Also took a pic of the Jeep by the local M1 that sits on the outside of town.

Thanks man. Blue wasn't the original color that I wanted but when I found this Jeep I knew I wanted it. Im real happy with my 4 inch lift. It's done everything I want. I sold the bb back in October to another form member. Sorry. The jeep towed the trailer great. I was up in Washington to hunt and did around 300 miles with it. Glad I installed the electric brake controller. I can do whatever I need with my jeep and have towed for others as well.

I never thought using a jeep as like a big tow rig. I always use my 250 diesel but I tow my boat now with my wj and my landscapeing trailer and she has a 6 in her. My zj pulled everything.

Yea I'd love to have a big truck but thats not in the cards right now. The Jeep did well in my opinion but a truck would do better. Our other car is a mazda 6 for now but the wife wants something different and so do I as the mazda is not all that great in the snow. She would like a cross over, nissan murano, but im going to get her another SUV so we have the 4 lo opition.

So this past weekend and week, I finally got around to installing a u-joint style front drive shaft. Now I can't wait to take it out on the trail to make sure it works right. So far, daily driving works fine.
With that in mind, anyone need to buy a flange style transfer case or differential yoke? ha ha
