its a bilstein 5100 series. It's actually a JK stabilizer (they dont make a WJ one..go figure ), but once you relocate the SS it will fit. Its a few inches longer than the stock WJ one so i dont think it would work in the stock location without bottoming out ina a tight turn

well i have changed my mind again....its part of my personality and partly that i sit in front of a computer all day for work and have to much time to browse craigslist. So, i'm back on the axle swap train. I am going to do something a little out of the box. I am going Saturday morning to pick up a Ford 9.75'' for a rear swap. Getting it for $150. It has discs, huge 34 spline factory shafts and is 65'' wms to wms. I will use this as a learning opp (its why i bought the jeep to begin with) and do the gear install and locker myself. I will probably drop in 4.88's and an arb. I will also upgrade to alloy shafts and then decide if I am going to redrill to 5x5 or run adapters. I will probably run claytons universal 4 link truss for the upper arms and then look to ballictic for some ideas on the spring perches and lower arm brackets. from here on out this will take up most of my build time...and funds, but im excited to get to work on it and do something a little different.

9.75? That'll be sweet. Good luck. Can't wait to see how it goes.

so i rebuilt the rear drive shaft last week with Moog u-joints. I was under the impression that the two u-joints in the rear were the same. As I finished replacing the one in the slip yoke end, I noticed it did not look right. It was no where near seated fully in the shaft. I compared it to the Spicer one I had taken out and the end caps were about 1/4'' shorter. I didnt think to much of it at the time and re-installed it. For the first day it was smooth as glass. then for the last week i was getting off and on vibrations that would get pretty bad. I knew it was due to that one u-joint. So i drove the wifes WK to work today and decided I would just bite the bullet and buy an OEM one from the dealer. So i just ran by the local dealer. He insisted that the two joints were the same. However, considering I had just replaced them. I insured him they were not the same and described in detail the issue. Unfortunately they did not have one in stock for me to look at (go figure). I left and went to O'reily's. They looked and sure enough came up with a different part numebr for a MAster Pro joint. However, he didnt have any moogs on hand. So, i took a risk and bought the Master pro one. Then I ran to advance auto, explained the situation again and asked to see a Moog 369....sure enough, they are different. The Mater Pro u-joint is about 1/2'' bigger all the way around. Just what I wanted to see. so It looks like Ill be tearing down the shaft again when I get home. I am 100% certain that my rear shaft is OEM so i cant explain the difference...anyone ever come across this? Oh, and the dealer wanted $69 bucks for the spicer u-joint! i dont mind paying for qulaity but seriously? $69 bucks...GTFO!!

When I rebuilt the V8 shaft I got with my 242HD I looked on line at Advance auto and they showed 2 different moog joints. Thats what I used.

yeah..i dont really know why the JEEP dealer insisted they were the same...i told him that I understood what his computer said but it was wrong. he didnt like that haha. anyways, i wonder if it had anything to do with the v8 or the 242HD? who knows, anyways, got the new one put in. fits like a glove, hopefully that will fix the vibes...

alright MRJ...sorry it took a few days but the wife has been hiding the camera I guess..anyways, this will give you an idea of how to mount it. One end will go down by the nut on your trac bar (passenger side) and the other will go right up to the tie rod collar on the pitman arm(driver side). I have included a pic of the relocation bracket that comes with the IRO otk set up since I believe you are running this as well. There is another identical clip on your OEM tie rod. Just pry it off and you will have the two you need. Then its just a matter of bolting it up. I also chose to use washers and "sandwich" the SS bushings between washers. Just remember that you will have to off set the brackets to get it to mount up (meaning one will be on the right side and one on the left...ill include a pic of my old SS to demonstrate what I mean) any more questions or pics need just let me know....once you get under there it will be self explanatory.
