I think you're losing your mind. You JUST got to where you are comfortable calling it temporarily 'finished' and now you're toying with selling it. That's crazy talk.

will do........im just going to see what I might be able to get for it before I get too serious about selling. Ive put too much work into it to let it go cheap to someone who doesnt appreciate it

I think you can... I'm 1 year behind you and thought about selling my WJ for an almost fully restored 79 J10 on 33's. Instead of replacing, I decided to keep the WJ and will most likely add the J10 to the stables.

I looked on that website. There's nothing spectacular. This WJ is on 60s and gay rims and he's asking $10,000. This liberty on the other hand it pretty nifty. Its $8,500.

There's also a ZJ on 14" coil overs and 40" tires.

I constantly consider selling it for a DD and a CJ or early Bronco. Mine isn't even close to worth what yours is with those long arms but I have 88k on the clock and a couple thousand in parts. I toyed with asking $9000 expecting to get $8K. But like I said, I only consider it. I almost pulled the trigger a couple months ago for a clean '67 Bronco. Instead, I ordered a tire carrier and am working on buying a set of half doors off a certain forum member. It's a sickness and addiciton to needing to build something, I get it. Instead of getting a 9er, go break the WJ. No more taking slow approaches and using multiple spotters on a hill. Go beat the heck out of it and fall back in love with it. Have you been following the build by dillonmj? It looks like he is going all out and just when you thought yours was finished...

I can understand that, I still owe on mine too and as I get closer to paying it off I want to just sell it, ditch the car payment, and grab a CJ for $1K and build it and a DD for a couple thousand and maintain it. Here is what I decided (for now). See it through the payments, start a new car payment for a comfy family/full size car (my wife has a 2011 liberty), and keep the WJ for a COMPLETE build. I understand the DD/Toy combo. That's my dilemma and why I have stayed under 4" of lift.

well ideally I would keep the WJ and park it.....trail rig only and keep the miles low if I ever did decide to sell it. id also drop all insurance off of it. Than buy this 9er i have my eye on as a DD. but that means 2 car payments. the payment on the 9er would be very low and the insurance would drop so it wouldnt be terrible. but then I think about having payments on a 98 ZJ 5.9, 02 WJ 4.7 and 07 WK 5.7 and I wanna cry but then I picture those three in the drive way and it makes me smile.......

You know you'll end up building both the 9er and WJ and have 2 trail rigs. Why not grab a WK2 and make payments on that if you want another SUV? Or get them both, call your house a Jeep Grand Cherokee museum, and start charging for admission.

no...if I buy the 9er it will be a 100% street queen and washed every day haha. the wifes WK is the "work" jeep and the WJ will be the "trail" jeep

Sounds like you got it figured it out. Now there is no reason to sell the WJ.

Edit: To answer your original question - I think you would be better off stripping the WJ of everything aftermarket that you can, selling it stock(ish) and parting out the aftermarket stuff.
