Nice Jeep! Just spent a while looking through your pictures. Love it.

However, I have to bust your chops about one thing - being from the south and owing firearms like that, you ought to know better than to call a magazine a "clip" man. LOL I'm just giving you a hard time but that's like rule number one for firearms enthusiasts... never call a mag a clip!

Haha, thanks for not getting all defensive. I get it, I know a lot of people call it that. It's just usually in movies and by people who don't know anything about guns. Most gun "enthusiasts" seem to jump all over people for calling it that and instantly label anyone who says it a "newb" lol. I don't, but I guess I'm enough of a firearms enthusiasts to always correct people when they say it. Mostly because it just sounds like a "gangsta" slang term to me. But also because it's just incorrect. A clip is just a little metal clip (also known as a "stripper clip") that holds rounds in place and allows you to load older style rifles (like a Nagant or most WW1 or WW2 era rifles) with internal non-detachable magazines quickly. Kind of like a speed loader for low capacity rifles with internal magazines. But the actual spring loaded thingy that holds the rounds in the firearm and chambers each new round is always called a magazine. Whether it's a 15 round detachable mag in a Glock, or a 7 round mag in a 1911, or a 30 rifle mag in an AR-15 or AK, or a 5 internal non-detachable mag built into a hunting rifle.

Sorry, I know you probably know your firearms and didn't need a big explanation. I'm only a stickler for correct terminology because the media consistently uses incorrect terminology to demonize firearms push their anti-gun agenda. I feel like if they are going to have an intelligent debate about gun control, they should AT LEAST know the true definition of an "assault rifle" and know the difference between a magazine and a clip.

Anyway, I dig that old pic of your first Jeep! I had an XJ for my first too! I bought it bone stock and lifted it myself:

yeah...just a little haha...it poured all day and the water crossing leading up to this didnt help. Neither did the fact that the first "rock" you have to get over is actually a large piece of steel. Its slippery no matter what the weather is like. But with the help of the new tires, she made it up with only a few tries!

thanks man.....they did really good. I was happy. they only gave me a couple problems getting over a few rocks but thats because I barely aired them down. Since it was my first time out with them and the weather was terrible, I didnt want to risk blowing a bead. I kept them at 20 PSI and they still did great.

got my new Burlwood dash console piece today (thanks gcjeepin!!). Ive been wanting one for a while, I dont know why Jeep decided to stop putting these in all the Limiteds. Im going to chop it up this weekend to get my CB installed. Im going to take my time with this one. My last one I just kinda hacked up. Im going to try and just cut the top half of the ash tray off and then slide the CB in....that way there wont be a gap.

Im also going to detail the interior this weekend. This past Saturday left me with jsut a little bit of mud on the inside

And a random parking lot shot.....my co-workers think i'm weird
