Nice wj, I really want to see this done. I thought about doing it but was scared to take that leap, but i think its great protection and will look sweet if its done right. How close are you to finishing the quarter-panel plate?

nope....no more work on it yet. My weekends have been swallowed up the past three weeks. Then next weekend Im supposed to go to a wedding, the following weekend ive got a wheelin' trip planned, then two weeks after that ill be in Florida for a week taking my son to the beach for the first time. I have so much work to do on the jeep and never any time......

well i did have a quick minute today while my son was napping. I was out in the garage cleaning up a bit and just decided to take a few driveway shots for the hell of it.....

oh, and since I had lost my "before" pics back when I first bought the jeep, I stalked this lady down...Its almost identical to the way mine looked stock. so this will be my "before and after" shot

I just received my tire carrier from detours today. Did you use a grade 8 bolt and lock nut to secure it into the hitch? If so, can you tell me the size and save me the trouble of measuring?

no.....i just used the bolt it came with that locks the wedge in. Once the wedge is tight, the carrier isnt going anywhere. Then I just used a normal trailer hitch pin as a back up in the event the wedge come loose. The pin just makes it quicker to take the whole thing off if I want, one less bolt to have to undo........

speaking of bumpers, i changed the oil today and put the front skid and bumper back on (Im always changing my mind on having it off or on)

also resprayed my sliders with some Dupli-color bed armor. They were getting pretty beat up

The new toy looks fun! How's getting ammo down in TN? Our shelves are cleaned out of 9 and 40. 308 is getting better. I can buy shotgun shells all day long though!

.40 is pretty hard to find right now. .223 can be found easliy but most places are putting buying limits on their stock. 12 gauge is everywhere

I at least got a couple 30 round clips and 100 rounds of .223 from the guy I bought this one from though

Now im ordering an extending pistol grip stock and surefire flashlight for it

I thought it was just a northeast problem. I can't find .22lr or .40 anywhere.
