1/8'' should be just thin enough to still have a little bend to it.......I will use carriage bolts for a clean "finished" look. once those are cranked down tight from the inside, it should curve the body line. Ive seen ZJ's do it and they have a similar curve. I think it will turn out good

i will probably run some strips of 1/8'' or 3/16'' on the inside (behind the cover panel that the bolts will run through) so that the two pieces "sandwich" the sheet metal and hopefully add some strength....

well, i think i have decided i got the WJ to a point im pretty happy with. I am still going to finish the quarter panels as well as get my OTK steering and aussie installed (been in my garage for months ) Past that, i just cant think of much else I NEED. I could start to beef up the axles, but I know I eventually want to do a full axle swap and 37's so there is no real point in throwing money at axles that will be replaced. I have finally decided to commit to saving for the DD i really want........a 9'er.

Build will probably slow from here as I stop buying WJ parts and start saving the cash. Wish me luck, the 5.9 is hard to come by around here

Sounds like a plan, that's why my build is crawling...saving money now that I have a DD. I spent what was left of my Jeep fund on it.
I'm gonna do a full write up on the WJ Dana 30 Aussie install when I do it, probably this coming weekend...that's IF I can get the head gasket on the Honda done Saturday.

yeah, im still kicking myself for not jumping on the one I had lined up about 5 months back. It was black (the best of the 3 color options IMO). Super clean in and out with only 80k original miles. Had him talked down to $3250 over text........just didnt pull the trigger

well I have a lead on an Overland steering wheel. Airbag has been deployed but other than that its in perfect shape. I can swap in my airbag easy enough so thats not an issue. Just wanted to kinda hold off on more mods.......but i have wanted one of these for a looooooooong time and they do not come up often....what to do what to do?
