How much do these go for new? I was thinking of making my own, but if they're a decent price it might just be worth snagging one from them rather than trying to put together my own

not sure. Get a hold of Mark @ Detours and see. Its not a piece they normally make. They are made at customers requests so you wont find the pricing online.

Unfortunately it wont work on our setup as Mark as stated, that's what i wanted as well. I went with the 90 degree drop as opposed the 45 degree drop you see here. I wanted to be able to load and unload stuff in the back without the tire being in the way. (Like the stroller and groceries)

for anyone interested, Mark seems to be able to make just about anything. If you check the Detours FB page, you can see a prototype he did for a swing away carrier on a WJ that is similar to the ones you see floating around here where they mount the stock bumper back over it.......

currently....YES. they use the stock bulbs. Tail lights are plug n' play. You can also use LED bulbs that can be found at most auto parts stores. Ive got a flasher relay thats gone out on me. When I fix that, i will most likely go ahead and replace the bulbs (turns and reverse)

couple things to keep track of the Treadwrights (315/70r17):

starting miles: 113,960
Height: 34 1/4'' (sitting under weight of vehicle @ 28 PSI)
Width: 11.75'' (28 PSI)
Tread depth: 19/32'' (.565'')

Couple crappy shots just to keep track (camera was giving me issues)

yep. im ok with it. The ride has been pretty great since I got the balancing issue worked out. Still going to keep messing with the PSI a bit to try and get it dialed in, but im still getting used to the tires. Havnt had D-loads in a long time.

Are the resistors easy to install and which did you use?

These are 5w CREE that I got for my wife's reverse, Now I can see out of her rear window with 15% tint at night, and they are BRIGHT!
