mod of the day:

replaced my rear license plate bulbs (that had gone out) with Sylvania Ultras. Very boring upgrade but at least they give a nice bright white glow that I think looks much better

is it lame that even the smallest little excuse to upgrade parts on my JEEP makes me all warm on the inside?

so im having an issue trying to diagnose this "popping" sound thats been getting worse in my steering. my first thought was a CV but after listening to it a little more, its more of a "grinding" or "metal groaning" sound. It also only happens in the first few inches of steering wheel travel from vertical (if my steering wheel is perfectly straight, the sound only occurs when I move the wheel a little to the left or right). once you clear those first few inches, the sound stops. I also noticed that i cant turn the tires to full lock when im sitting still. It starts to give alot of resistance and will only go full lock if I am rolling forward. I got under the jeep last night and had the wife move the wheel but I cant quite narrow down the sound. It ALMOST sounds like its coming from the pitman arm......could it be the power steering going bad? i havtn noticed any fluid leaks and all my steering components are tight except I have a VERY SLIGHT vertical movement in the drag link tre at the pitman arm.....any ideas?

yeah...they should. they actually come with a larger bolt so you have to drill out the mounting holes to 9/16'' to fit the bolt. should make my steering pretty freakin solid. between my IRO otk tie-rod, bilstein steering stabilizer and now these bushings it cant get much more solid...

finished fixing a few fuses and re-running some new wire to the TV's. Now my son can watch his Mickey Mouse clubhouse DVD's again. The best part is the wireless headphones. that way he is happy and I can listen to my music instead of "the hot dog song"

thanks man....that was a big selling point for me. im a huge freak about not leaving anything inside the jeep, especially anything that looks of any value. when you have them zipped up they match almost perfectly and you dont even really notice a difference.

ah man.....thats all i got to watch for the past 2 years. luckily , my son turns 2 at the end of this month and he is FINALLY moving towards toy story and away from Mickey .......any ways got them from onfair.com the site is a little cheesy but they actually make a really great product for the money. I have mine for about a year but I remember paying around $250. that included 2 9'' screens already mounted in leather headrests, 2 wireless headphones, 2 wireless game remotes and 2 wireless remotes. Its cool cuz you can also wire them to run as separate screens and watch two things at once or you can press a button and have both screens playing the same thing with only one movie in. you can also have them play the audio through your car speakers if you choose. Hard to argue that price with all that stuff. Like i said, had them for over a year and never had any issues with them. As i was checking the site (couldnt remember the pricing off hand) it seems they have a touch screen option now too

well my smittybuilt air compressor saved me this morning. I was in the gym doing my thing when some guy walked up and asked I drove "the big black jeep". I said yes and expected the usual "nice jeep" complement you get from time to time. Instead he said "dude! you got one hell of a flat". I went out and found my front passenger side tire literally almost falling off the wheel . My super smart self doesnt carry a spare at the moment so i busted out the compressor hoping for the best. Within 3 minutes I was completely aired back up to 35psi without the compressor skipping a beat. best $60 ive spent in a while...........and I know, party foul for no pics but my phones camera is so bad it wasnt worth it

Do you know why the air was so low? Puncture, or did someone let it out?
