Steve,
Nice jeep and I love your build thread; its very detailed and the pics are very helpful. I have a question for you. How do you like the 235 85 16s that you are running currently. I see you have them mounted on a 16X8 wheel. I have the same wheels currently that I have 245 75s on and I would like to upgrade to a true 31. Do you get any rubbing and did you have to trim. I currently run the OME HD setup and do not object to trimming some plastic. Thanks.
Jeremy

Bumper plastic needed trimming. TBH I haven't made my mind up on the 235's, they are good offroad in the UK (no rocks here, just mud) but look kind of skinny from behind LOL good on dry roads or snow, less so on wet roads, maybe the addco will sort that out

Suspension was getting a bit noisey, checked all the bolts and they were tight, regreased the hemi joints on the end of the long arms and its all quiet again. Finally set the correct front pinion angle too, steering is much better.

Someone has rear ended the wifes Jeep, bent the shell so before it got towed away today I swapped over the door mirrors (mine didn't fold or auto dim/heat), sun visor clips, new battery & the radio head unit (mine didn't have a cd slot). Thinking about it I should have swapped the coil pack but never mind, its gone now. Just need to do a service on mine before it gets too cold & replace the rear brakes.

Had to keep it looking normal as I am not buying it back & they haven't agreed a value to it yet. Slipped up though, I left the load cover in the back of it
Did manage to get off the wheels with the good tyres on and swap on some old ones with worn out road tyres though

Dear me, nearly a years gone by since an update.

Jeep has had some TLC lately. List is:
All front axle ball joints replace
All front steering joints replaced with Moog ones
New spring rubbers/isolators all round (gained 3/4" of lift, old ones were in bits)
new wheel bearings all round
new brake disks/pads/shoes all round
new steering damper
regear to 4.10
Rough Country 2.2 shocks all round
and some new headlight bulbs LOL

Oh and now I have a little more lift from the new rubber spring cups the front shaft vibes are back Another afternoon of chasing them away on the horizon. Also ditching the 235-85-16" tyres and going to 265-70-17"s. They move around too much on the road and wet road grip is poor.

Still unable to shift the front end vibes, contemplating going down to 3" of lift again.

Swapped out the transmission mount just now, not had chance to test drive it yet, will do so in the morning. Hopefully it will go someway to sort my vibes out. Pushing the tailhousing on the transfer case before the swap it moved about an inch, with the new one it barely moves. Interestingly the gearbox now sits 3/4 of an inch higher, will help a little with the front prop angle. Both props are now 1/4" longer off the transfer case. The mount taken off was the original.
