That's the idea. I've come to the realization that they're all disposable at the end of the day. The parts just get moved between the next shell ha.

Idea is to keep it as daily driver friendly as possible. If I decide to go bigger, odds are it will be somewhere closer to CTeunuch's build or bigger. Trying to make something capable so I can skip that 33" stage ha. If it's bigger, it'll be 35" plus.

5.9/NV4500 out of a Ram. No problemo.

Does that Aurora plate fit inside the plate recession without trimming the sides like an XJ requires?

You need to post pointless photo's just for fluff.. like that dude on NAXJA.
Too lazy to wire up the butt warmers ha.

Not sure how the Aurora frame will fit- going to cut up the plate frame on my old ZJ to find out.

I wish I had more fluff, but I haven't busted out the camera recently ha.

HAHA! I knew going wheeling today would make you want to go bigger

Pic of the 5.9 leathers:

Also swapped out what looked to be the original alternator today for a 150A one out of a 5.9. Original one has been dying over the past two days- by the time I got to work this AM, the voltage gauge was not showing anything. Luckily I threw the 150A I had laying around in the back of the Jeep before I left, so I swapped it out in my work parking lot and drove it home.

Nothing says classy like fixing your car in the parking lot at work so you can make it home.

It would have gotten out of the parking lot on just the battery I'm sure. Probably just not any further than that. On the way in, the tach didn't have enough juice to keep it's signal when I used my directional ha.

Grabbed a few more parts for this over the past couple days. Scored a Mopar hitch and OEM tank skid for $35.00, also grabbed a battery tie down as my factory one was missing and replaced with some junk. Also found a full set of 5.9 seats for $50 off CL and bought those on Friday night. Installed the rear seat on Saturday morning so everything matches.

Yes- different leather and stitch pattern as well.

Installed tank skid and hitch today, threw some shackles and a chain in the Jeep along with my tow strap. Supposed to get a few flurries tomorrow.

Haven't updated this in a long while.

Jeep has since been lifted. Went with the OME kit that has now been in several jeeps. Added in a TnT trackbar and bracket in the front with JKS disconnects as well as an IRO heavy duty tie rod and Ruffstuff cover for the 30. Rear got a JKS adjustable track bar and sway bar delete.

I had some cooling issues, so I ended up replacing the fan clutch, water pump, radiator, thermostat, hoses, and temp sensor. Sadly it's still running a little hotter than I want it to, so a cooling flush may be in order.

I also replaced the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, and fuel pump to try to correct a fuel pressure loss that occurs when the jeep sits. Most likely need to replace a leaky injector.
