TeeJay's Expedition Rig Build

I've had my jeep for a few months now and I figured id start one of these early so I dont miss anything

Welp nothing too exciting yet just a few cosmetic mods and basically maitnance stuff I had to take care of.

Alittle history on the jeep: Its a 1999 Grand Cherokee Laredo, pretty much fullly loaded,4x4. Its been in my family its whole life and had it pretty easy till it made it to me. For the past couple years I had been driving a 2005 ford explorer which was okay but terrible off-road. The jeep had been sitting in my uncles driveway for 3 years with a "broken transmission and transfer case". So I sold my explorer and hoppped right on it. I ended up pulling it home replacing the transfer case and she was good to go. Im still replacing stuff periodically but so far its been a great vehicle and it has been my FAVORITE.

Future Mods:

-A lift kit(Ordered)
-Sliders
-Bumpers
-Gears/Lockers
-Skid plates
-Im sure theres more thats the main stuff.

I picked it up for a whopping 800 bucks, The day I got it:

Current Picture:

The first "mod" I did:

And now for something im not so proud of that resulted in me needing a new door:

And a few more random pics of her:

There should be more pics up soon of it with the lift on!

Went out and did alittle wheeling yesterday just not in the jeep! She was sagging pretty bad but towed em just fine. The trailer was heavy as hell.

Then today I started the process of painting my trim, only got the back bumper done today im going to finish the rest tomorrow.

A few updates:

I paid up! JeepForum Supporter!!

Took the front sway bars off, not too bad driving without it. The previous owner put a cheesy ricer intake on the jeep and I ripped the inner fenders outs so the intake was constantly getting dirty and wet. I had a stock air box outta my old explorer and came up with this :

Also got some goodies in the mail, the only lift my poor self could afford lol

Im also fabbing up mounts for my streamlight and this puppy right here:

I don't know my guns very well but it reminds me of a SOCOM II.

How is the DPMS working for you? They are on sale out here for about 650, I was considering that over a Colt.

Great. Don't waste your time with a colt. I've had one and my DPMS performs just as well.

On board air, winch mount bumpers front and rear, roof rack that supports 20 gallons of gas, hi-lift jack, shovel and spare. One of those tents that rests on the roof rack and folds out of the sides. Eventually a 4inch long arm. Aux Lights front and rear, Sliders, and every skid plate you'll ever need. Basically just wanna make it self sufficient. Im taking it on a road trip to new mexico in about 6 months and I hope to have alot of this stuff knocked out.

Btw, I read your entire build thread on here. Your jeep is what I wish mine was lol.
