You guys know anything about Motive Ring and Pinions? How about All-Star? Percision? I can order the Percisions gears for $200, the Motives for $150 or the All-Star for $125.

Just about everything I've found online says the Motives are good and will run quiet so I'm leaning towards them. Can't find much of anything regarding the All-Star performance R&P's.

I've run Motive gears in the past without any problems.

I'm running usa standard gears in my 9" and they have a howl even with the correct set up. They ran me $150 new. I wish I would have gone with yukons, but they run around $280-$300. You get what you pay for.

Sweet man. Watching the races is cool, I'm sure driving would be 10x's more fun though!

I have heard that about USA Standard gears. Their description says they are not recommended for quiet running vehicles.

So I'm getting some Motives through Chase @ ECGS. I called him since they weren't on the site, and of course he's the man and quoted me a great price!

Also, I'm looking to finally get rid of my OEM Timberline wheels. I've found both a set of 16x8 soft 8's and a set of JK steelies for $100 but can't decide between the two. I like the silver color of the JK wheels with my black WJ, but I'm unsure of the backspacing. The soft 8's are black of course. If I get those I could ditch the wheel spacers too. Eventually I'd like to do a weld-on beadlock to either wheel.

You guys think a JKD30 is a good buy at $250? It stock and complete with brakes and steering. I could probably part my 4.56's and chromo shafts out for at least $500. I'm assuming the D30 lock-rite would still swap over...

Just thought of this too...getting a HP front axle should save me from having to buy a new, longer front DS.

250 sounds like a fair price...

How much for the chromo shafts?

I think jk axles are 32 spline.. not 100% sure. But I know the rubicon 44s are 32 spline.

I think you're right about the jk44's but it looks like the 30's are still 27 spline. I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy with the axle, once I know for sure if its available I'll figure up some prices to part out my 30 and PM you Phantom. I see that the jk30's have the option to go all the way to 5.14 gears...I've gotta replace the gears in my 9, so it'd be the perfect time to get some deeper gearing.
