Got to test the hydro assist today and it worked great! 10x's easier to turn the wheel now. Our group was 2 TJ's, 1 TJ, and the dubjay...no breakage (with the exception of a fried Smittybuilt winch solenoid). I do need to pick up a longer front DS though. I've got too much spline showing and had it separate while attempting a hill climb.

Here's pics of the rest of the group.

And the only stuck. He got a huge log jammed between the front axle housing and under the rear spring perch. After some interesting tactical hi-lift work, we got him off the log and on up the trail.

Hah. This is his "other" jeep. 39" Krawler Reds, 4.7L stroker & one tons.

We were all joking about what parts from the MJ would end up on the YJ before its next trip out. The 'manche had a catastrophic 3-link failure in its last ECORS race, so the parts gotta go somewhere!

Made another trip to the Flats in Marion, NC. The Rock Corps held an open invite/benefit ride for a member's family in need. Had some fun and the WJ worked great!

While I was airing down & getting disco'd this guy pulled up beside me. He bought this WJ the day before and was breaking it in. Anybody recognize the rig? It was built pretty well. 2000 WJ, 4.7L, 242HD, Claytons LA's, Trussed and locked D44a.

Here you go goof.

Thats the same trail that gave me the body damage down the entire passenger side and claimed the rear quarter glass...guess its safe to say its not meant for full bodied rigs.

Also, it looks like I'm going to have to re-build my 9". I've got a seriously loud howl coming from the rear end at 55MPH and up. Its the worst when light on the throttle, gets a little better when heavy on the gas and goes away completely when off the throttle. From all I've been read online that should indicate a problem with the R&P setup right? I guess its what I get for cheaping out with a used gearset vs. new.

The ECORS is fun stuff but hell on your rig/wallet. Have you had a chance to make it out to one of the races? Seems like if you can keep your jeep together for an entire race, you place in the top 3. I'll have to come watch the race at the flats.

Goofy, whats the deal with the ZJ driveshaft(s) in your sig? I'm looking to pick up a slightly longer front shaft as I've maxed mine out. I keep reading where certain ZJ's came with a front shaft that was around 35" collapsed.
