Finally installed the hood vents. We'll see if they make a difference this summer...

Went wheeling this past weekend at the Flats (private park) in Marion, NC. It was one of 2 times per year that they open the park up to the public so the place was packed. The day started off well and had a lot of fun, but ended up leaving with quite a bit of carnage.
Fun:

Carnage:

Thinking about trying to fab up some quarter panel protection. Not sure if there's anything I can do for that fender though...

They ended the day with a timed hill climb competition. Check out this crazy SOB in his JK!

At least Dubs can be found in JY's these days. You might be able to find all the pieces you need to fix your Jeep back up for cheap if you look at the right place. I know the Cherry Ave. JY outside Amarillo had a Dub last year. I wish I'd swiped more than the front leather seats now. Roof-rack....for one. Ah well.

It looks like you had a wild time. More photos. I demand it!

LOL, I had just bought a pair of NC4x4 stickers earlier in the day and had planned to put them on the rear windows.

Thats the plan...The local JY's list the rear quarter windows for about $50. I want to add some 3/16's or 1/8th plate to the rear quarters and then probably just spray some bedliner over the damaged fender which will match my rear bumper. There are several pics/vids of the hill climb competition here

Went back to the Flats today with a buddy for a quick ride.

I picked up a spare power steering box when I was at the JY for the new rear window. I also picked up a Redneck Ram from West Texas Offroad, planning to add hydro assist soon.

Nice! That is something I am going to add some too after seeing Shinobi's in Moab. I just don't want to do it to the 30 and destroy a knuckle or something else.

If you need knuckles I have a set of spares that I don't need anymore.

Nope, the 30 isn't staying around much long. Thanks though.

I was thinking the tre's would bend before damaging a knuckle. Goofy, I've got some driveline vibes/bearing problems I gotta get worked out before driving the jeep that far to UNF. One of the things I used to like best was the hwy ride, but that has recently gotten pretty poor.
