starts when it wants

hello i have a 2008 grand cherokee laredo around 60,000 mi it only starts sometimes, have had it towed now 5 times huge hassel i have good battery clean terminals and assuming the starter is fine since sometimes it starts normal.the dash works lights up i can here a click under the hood but nothing happens the engine doesnt attempt to turn over when it first started this i could wait like 30 min and keep trying and it would start it has been colder out lately but now it wont start for hours or even next day any info would be great i know im not the only one i couldnt find any post like mine though thank you
