My 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit with a diesel engine has failed on five occasions now to engage the start sequence when the start button is pushed from a cold start. Outside temperature is in the 60s - 80s F. The dashboard flashes on for less than a second, sometimes the starter will hit momentarily (like in the old days if you had a weak battery) but the engine does not start, the dash goes dark, and only the "Run" light on the ring around the start button stays illuminated. The button does not then function to turn off the "Run" light until pressed about five or six times over 10-15 seconds. The jeep eventually starts and seems normal until it happens again.
Anyone else having this problem?
