Im planning on making a rear tire carrier over christmas break! Cant WAIT! I havent done any welding or fabrication since high school. This will be fun!

Looks like ill be replacing my valve cover gaskets pretty soon. They are leaking yet but they are wet. /: Anyone done this before on the 4.7L?

just did it when i did my head gaskets last month. the valve covers are easy to get to

if i remember correctly, dont take the alternator out, just move it, get the plugs and the basic stuff covering them off and then they wiggle out. i cant really picture my engine in my head right now since ive been UNDER it since 10am re-welding the claytons and lifting the gas tank. let me get my manual outta the jeep once i muster the courage to go outside in the cold and i'll pm you about it or you can just call me

No worries man, I'm not gunna do it for a couple of weeks. It's only wet. did you use the felpro gaskets?

yeah, but they were stretched, so i ended up going to the dealership and gettin mopar ones. cost was within a couple bucks of felpro. id suggest the mopar ones

I replaced all 4 tie rod ends today. Still have a little shimmy. I'm looking to replaced the ball joints in knuckles.
