I am leaning towards doing the AX15 swap. Why? I want need more towing power and could always use more MPGs.

I have the following:

92or3 (internal slave) AX15 in good shape with newer clutch in great shape
dust cover
shifter
XJ peddles, ALL FREE!

from what I know I need:
new master with lines
new slave to be safe, since it is internal

any advice please speak up here, I was wondering if my 4.56's will work ok with that combo?

i might be parting out the xj and it has the AX-15. im selling the engine and tranny plus the shell to a guy in eveleth but im not sure if he will be needing the master slave..but im not sure. 4.56s would be awesome and you will probably be able to use 5th gear haha. i never was able to after 33s.

Hammered Black, sanded wheels, painted 3 lighter coats, holding up gread exept for the riggors of rock rash lately.

No 318, my 4.0 is running perfect and I'm getting 17-18mpg at 65 and 19-20 at 55-60 lately.

The AX swap is on hold until the transmision is dead, if that happens.

That trans will keep going. Why because you do regular maintenance!
