Bump steer usually comes about as a result of the track bar and drag link being "unparallel". I know you had about a zillion things gon through - but did you consider that the worm gear in the steering box may be worn? I pulled off the steering linkage and found some slightly play in my steering box that was independent of any of the downstream links or joints. Another thought is that your front axle may be off-center and track bar needs readjustment.

Pretty much everything you have is new, and to be honest at >3" lift you shouldn't have to experiment with various combinations of parts to make it work right. At this point the list of things that haven't been replaced already is pretty small. I'd suspect either one of those few items or something fundamental like poor alignment. How about ball joints? I don't recall if you had those replaced yet.

I had *thought* it would still be parallel still, even with a hair off center? But I guess I may be wrong, so if the track bar is a hair to short or long that can bring up some bump steer. I took ChrisHager's amount of threads exposed from his JKS bar and based mine from there. It's lined up well and has only taken a slight pull to line up the final bolt. I am willing to bet still that its *pretty close* to center. What is the best way to measure? Can I reference off of the fenders? I've read where people unbolt the track bar and just wiggle the Jeep around and where it settles, is "center".

If the steering box is f'd, so am I. I actually have very little play in the steering with everything being as new as it. If I had to guess, a few degrees of the wheel now translates to the road.

When I did the LCA's to increase caster, I think I did wrong. I could go balls to the wall down the highway at 75+ and not have any major shimmy on all 4 stock control arms at 4.4. But when I added LCA's and got caster settled to ~6.7-6.8 it'll now shimmy on the highway at that speed, sometimes nasty. I am not sure if I ever mentioned that observation. This was on the JKS bar, same bushings, same tires, same pressure, and the only difference was the caster angle.

*Edit* - and no, the ball joints are still stock. I checked them again last week and couldn't get movement with a pry bar.

^^^X2, check balljoints by push/pull wheel at 12 an 6 o'clock, when its off ground. Axle off center or bad aligment Are my best guess, Get those checked out.

10-4 I remember talking about this. Pretty interested to see how it all turns out!

Picking up some thick tubing to put over my Aux Trans cooler lines, there is some slight chafing occurring over the steering box and another spot by the coolant hose. Better safe then sorry, been on my to-do list for a year.

Depending on how cold, it'll do it until it warms up to about the 1/4 mark on the temp gauge. If I had to guess, a couple of minutes. I believe the oil is just cold and thick and not going to all the places it should be. When I go to Chickfila, ate and then came back out and started again, started no problem and no knocking sound at all. Just the "normal" 4.0 noise. So when the engine and oil are warm it's fine. *Long explanation short, it does go away.

No, 8F, is not as cold as other parts of the country! But, it's below are average temps.

Mine sounds AWFUL when I first start it but it only lasts ~5 seconds until the lifters pump up. Yours sounds a bit different though. Being that it does go away and it's new with this cold weather, I'd chalk it up the that unless it continues.

It hit -13 here yesterday. The high for the day was in the negatives. Unfortunately, I was outside for much of the day.

Some neighbors even looked over and wondering what was making that terrible sound, I was embarrassed. It has done this before in the very cold temperatures, where it takes a couple minutes for this awful knocking sound to go away.

Other times throughout the year, on a "cold start" it "tap" or "knock" for ~3-5 seconds and immediately go away, even in the summer. It will do this randomly too, really no rhyme or reason.

Well, if it decides to drops a cylinder, it is out of my hands. All I *can* do is just baby the engine as much as I can while it's trying to warm up.
