Picked up some *new* Moog front sway links from a forum member.

Made it home from school today.
290 Miles,
5:14 drive time,
21.9 MPG, peaked at 23.0 at one point.
Got about ~230 miles to half a tank.
Cruised at about 65 avg mph
Jeep did good for the most part, few big bumps threw it for a loop. Santa needs to bring me tires, early!

Tailwinds are a blessing

Plus in my Jeep, the 1/2 tank mark actually means 1/4 tank and you'll need fuel in the next 75 miles. Although with the current driving situation/house, the WJ has been more consistent with it's mileage than ever. Less than .5 mpg variance per tank, between 15.2 and 15.7 for the last 4 tanks.

Yeah I pretty much bailed out of class early. I've have till December 1st off for Thanksgiving. Then I'll be back home again around the 18-20th of December for winter break.

I managed to do really well on the highway taking it real easy at 65 and I was going down hill the entire way home. Coming from ~3000 feet of elevation to sea level. I'll only do about 19mpg on the way back.

Not bad for this ol thing. Least I know its mechanically sound getting good fuel economy. It also just reinforces the fact that in town economy and my driving style is terrible.

Ha, my driving style aint better in town either with the new HO, you would guess i cut 2 lanes straight in front of unmarked police car, and hitcthe brakes so he couldnt og into my lane after me, shhhh, snd sure mpg aint Good it got knock sensor code, which i suspect F up air/fuel ratio and ignition timing, still pulls like a wild horse though

I wail on my 4.0 like its a racecar in town at times. It tries, at least VTEC kicks in around 3,000 RPMS, starts to pull pretty good around there.

Haha you have Vtec too? I dont know why but it's weird how the 4.0 pulls like it has a power band there's a honda guy I know at school and he thinks it's awesome cause it's similar to Vtec

Ha, I am not the only one! Right over 3,000 it'll start to pull like it has some ponies. Funny though because the power, HP, curve is completely linear. Maybe the Torque comes in around there.

So I've been parking in the driveway at night while I am at home. I'll have to move it out of the way in the morning for the parents and it'll only run for 30-60 seconds. Later when I go to start it again, it's much more difficult to start. Takes a whole bunch of cracking to get it to fire up. But, on the initial cold morning start, it fires right up. don't get understand why it would do that. Meh, just a thing I noticed while being home. Did it twice last few days.

Being back home, we've got some really s*** roads around here. I had to go down into Norfolk where it is extra crappy. The OME HD's and the 5100's were extremely stiff, uncomfortable, and jarring. Felt like the Jeep was just jumping over the bumps and not even compressing the suspension. I was not a happy Jeeper.

Judging from your weigh-in... you already did.

Go faster. I find the 5100s and Bilsteins combo to get a little tiring at times but driving more aggressively brings the 5100s into a different level of damping (remember it's digressively valved). Going slow and taking it easy makes it roll more and feel jarring. Taking the railroad tracks at 35 instead of 15 makes it smooth like butter.

Also play with tire pressures and see where you are at. If you still have stock sized tires you have no reason not to be at 33psi. That can make a huge impact. Same goes for tire sidewalls. Soft sidewalls might make the ride feel softer but also less controlled and less settled.
