Here are the alignment specs.

Seems to be back to normal with the tightened bolt. Can't wait for the upgrade tomorrow at some point. Friend who works at Fastenal is picking me up a 9/16 drill bit and some 9/16 washers.

Another bolt? I would be surprised if I manage to break a grade 8 9/16 hardened steel bolt lol. I mean thanks for calling me Mr. Hulk! I will take that under advise. Thank you.

Glad you've got the jeep dialed in to 99% of where you want it! I'm all for the upgrade to a 9/16" bolt, and you shouldn't have a problem breaking them. I just referenced a torque chart, and torque spec for a non lubricated (no oil, anti seize etc) Grade 8 9/16" fine thread bolt is 171 ft-lbs. I've been running 9/16" bolts for a LONG time for trackbar and lower links all around and have never had one let go .

AP, thanks for poking around and keeping up with me when you can! The bolt upgrade kit should give me worry free driving with the track bar. My current setup with the JKS bar and the first set of KOR bushings just sucks. I've had nothing but bad luck with this setup. The sleeve slips around sometimes, holes are slightly wallowed, and the bushings were real soft in that run of bushings I bought. So naturally, the track bar is currently able to move some even when tight. I have a feeling that *some* of the wobbles are to be blamed by this. Also why steering feels loose(r) then it should, if the bushings are moving around first, doesn't that effect the steering?

Just the other day, if you read this or not, I almost sh** myself coming back from Dad's to Mom's on the highway, the track bar bolt had come loose and jeep was really really wobbling on bumps. More so then its ever done to me before. At that point I was scared, mad, and happy I have the upgrade sitting at home. Also glad it didn't go to full on DW, just would wobble wobble 3 or 4 times longer then ever and then subside, thankfully. But scary.

Best yet, the new KOR revision of bushings I have on my bedroom floor are hard as a rock, fit uber snug in the sleeve and will fit extremely tight in the bar, to the point where hammering or pressing it in will be required. Then the sleeve fits super snug with the bolt. No more sleeve rolling around on the bolt!

Since the control arms, I've been able to dial caster to 6.5 degrees and not have any drive line vibes with the new shaft they built for me. That caster helps I'm sure over 4.2 degrees. I've got a few more things to do to Jeep. But I keep trying my best to "rollback" the odometer.

Thank you for your continued support and advice!

You'd be surprised... Especially with holes that are already there or not perfectly round, drill bit binds up and just goes pop! And snaps

Oh great! Lol. That could cause an issue in the middle of drilling and then SNAP!

Usually I like to get the bit up to speed in the air then while spinning gently go at the metal and feel for binding it should scrape the hole into the right shape then when it doesn't feel sketchy you can really give it some force and it should be fine... Just don't get the drill bit in the hole, grabbing the drill with one hand, and squeeze... You'll hurt something lol.

Yup. Gear oil is one of the best "improvised" cutting fluids for steel. Works better than many off-the-shelf tapping/cutting fluids IMO. Motor oil will work in a pinch. Penetrating oils and sprays like PB Blaster or WD40 are not going to do a darn thing.

Some times I wish this was pirate4x4 and could continue with sexual jokes. Haha.

But, I didn't know that about WD-40, oddly enough that was the first thing that came time mind. I've got some generic motor oil in the garage, which is probably the closest thing I have to be effective. Always learning!

We've used old motor oil before but I've never thought of gear oil. Good tip!

Good way to chip the bit. Drill slow with a lot of pressure and use a lot of cutting oil and you'll be good.
