I don't like the factory frame bushings, ehh. Also the out of place area where it mounts over the axle. I think ill still go IRO for sure.
IRO still uses the factory bushings where it mounts to the frame so theres no difference there ...but the only difference from IRO's VS. Rough Country is where they mount on the axle ...but i really do like how rough county has mounts on the a arm for the brake lines and all that ...when IRO just has you leave the break lines hanging and not attach to the a-arm like it was with the stock a arm

Dint know IRO bushings are like stock, I did hear they don't use crown or Omix ada due to quality control issues, that's just the word of the grapevine though idk. I'm curious who rough country uses. Also, anybody know the price on the RC arm? I've gotten a couple IRO products that are nothing but quality and I've heard of some not so great stories about WJ specific RC items (erhem shock relocation brackets)

those shock relocation brackets are the worst ...like idk how they even thought they were gonna work ....your cant relocate where the shock mounts in only one spot ..then its gonna cause a serious angle where you didnt relocate ..then you say buh bye to your bushings in like 3 weeks

happened to me ..so i know from experience ..sadly ive had the whole RC experience ...i should make a youtube documentary

The difference in the mount is so that the RC arm can be longer without requiring the axle to move back. Remember it is supposed to come with their LA kit.

Lengthening the upper A-arm without lengthening the lower arms will increase antisquat a lot if your rear a-arm is angled upward (axle to body) more than your lower arms. It'll decrease anti squat if you are angled less than your lower arms. So the height adjustment/varied mounting positions may be key here. Is there even enough room above the axle at this lift height to accommodate the taller mount for either of the AM A-arms?

I do know that the IRO a-arm can work with 2-7" inches of lift. I actually don't know about the rough country arm, like the minimum lift. I did talk on the phone to an IRO rep asking what happens when I load the jeep and my lift height dips just below two inches and he said it'd be okay. Now the other thing is that I need to adjust any after market arm to the length of my current a-arm to keep the pinion angle in check.

The rough country axle mount looked like it mounted closer towards the front of the vehicle from my perspective.

Yeah, no. Check this out.



It would move the mount to the rear of the axle centerline.

And you'd only match A-arm to OEM arm length if you were certain the pivot were in the same spot. If you install any of the adjustable A-arms, you'll have to set the pinion angle with it installed.

You know what. I was looking at it backwards. My bad. But what was that picture supposed to show? The a-arm spacer?

The two bolts go in the rear and the 1 bolt goes in the front. Oops!

Edit: you're right, makes sense, different mounting point, can't be the same length.
