Jeep parked in the stadium lot. I was impressed with the jeep on the kick down this time around. It did not shift is hard when going down from overdrive to third gear for some reason. Also when going from 3rd to 4th. Was smoother too. Not that I'm complaining about the 42re shifting better.

WJ rode great at those highway speeds I was very impressed with it.
I didn't mean to make it sound like I was complaining about speeding haha. Hell I lost my license for 6 months for going 73 in a 35. I was just saying I don't speed in the jeep because past 75 it feels a bit shaky haha.

Oh haha, didn't know sooo... yeah. Shoot that sucks man! That must have been a really nice ticket when you double the speed limit. I have had only 1 ticket. It was for an 83 in a 55. (in North Carolina, OBX) I was doing close to 90 and thankfully he didnt write it for that. I was coming down a bridge. But then I had a lawyer reduce it to 8 over! No loss of anything and no insurance increase!

I don't know about your Jeep, but mine feels solid at 80+

The ticket wasn't bad, but they took my license. It was stupid, the speed limit went from highway speeds to city speeds and they got me a few feet after the new posted speed limit. But yeah, if you go to court around here they pretty much either drop all charges or reduce them significantly.

My jeep use to vibrate like crazy past 60 mph. Then I re-greesed everything and tightened up the track bar and its pretty solid up to about 75 now. I dont do anything past that anyway haha.

I did not have to show up to court because the lawyer took care of it all. Oh, that sucks how the speed limit changes like that and they don't post the speed limits.

Well that is really odd and probably really annoying. I do 70+ on a regular basis going back to school. Shoot this time I was doing 85 for a while following traffic in the SLOW LANE.

The 2004 has an interesting bumper. Looks cool. Maybe the price is higher down here because it is not in the salt bet as much.

Michael and I established that the 04s for some reason, being no different despite their front end cosmetics, are rediculously more expensive. Currently his Laredo is worth 150% what my Limited is given similar mileages used for comparitive purposes. I personally plan on purchasing an 02 Ovy because I'll wont really need the newer styled front end (ARB bumper).

Oh yeah, and even with all the modifications my WJ has been tested smooth up to higher 90s mph (just a safety check in a controlled environment, she hasnt seen more than 80 since then) and at 65-70 its smooth sailing. Steering is a bit loose for my taste but that is a work in progress

Haha, what an a great conversation that was too! Going back and forth about price, I could not believe the difference.

Matt, that is true about only "needing" an 2002. You can easily swap the 04 Grille in (if you wanted) then the ARB would do the rest!

Hahaha! It looks legit! I want an overland chrome/chrome grille. But at the same time I LOVE my matched grille. I want to do mesh in the grille of maybe paint the slats (that are black now) to silver. not sure

Nahhh man you'll grow outta the chrome chrome look real fast it just looks outta place on WJs. Especially while you still have the Laredo plastic bumpers itll clash. I have the early limited chrome rings around my grille slats and that's all I'd ever want. I love the Laredo 04 grilles though they aren't chrome but the brushed alluminum-esque look they have is both modern and sleek. Maybe it's just me though I'm not a chrome guy. My buddy with the lifted Hemi Wk his jeep was loaded with chrome from the factory along the door panels and the window sills and the whole grille and the tailgate trim... Everywhere. We're flat blacking all of it this summer. Chrome is for the hummer crowd :P

I guess I just want my Jeep to look like an overland haha. I don't think id really ever give up or trade my current grille. I think painting the lower part of the bumper looks pretty sweet (the 2004 limited/overland look). It matches pretty spot on with the silver on the grille. The two hooks are also painted the same color. So the that all matches in that brushed silver look. And I like it. Its not "chrome" either. I currently like the color matched grille, with the brushed aluminum center, the painted lower bumper trim. What do you think about it like it is now?

JerzeyBoy had a lot of success from the looks of the pictures, in painting his hood louvers (sp?) On matching his factory paint with a rattle can. If I have my way all my bumpers/cladding are going to be color matched. Or I think im just going to paint them black. I am really getting tired of doing the treatment on the laredo plastic. I can't decide. I know that you like the dark gray look, Matt.

Too many options. :P Think I should basically keep how it looks now?

This summer for sure I am painting the door handles, and some other trim pieces that are supposed to be black, back to black.
