When my Jeep was stock somebody asked me what year it was, when asked to guess they said 07. I was like nope, it's 10 years old and 110,000 miles . Yesterday when I went to sell something on Craigslist the guy was gawkin over my jeep. I can only imagine how much pain a dark jeep would be to keep clean, white shines up pretty easy.

All this talk has me wanting to go clean my jeep. Can I wash my microfibers or do I have to just replace em? I dropped one in a puddle and now it's soiled

Also i don't mind trying anything short of an engine rebuild on my 4.0 once, builds good knowledge. NOW if you wana be efficient buy a drain plug and do it yourself and whilst in there install the drain plug in the pan. Life just got 5x easier next time you wanna do the fluid. My XJ has a drain plug in it, it's as easy to Change as the engine oil.
I'd take it to a dealer to do it, just dont have the tools up here because im in a dorm room. Well, i guess i could take it to the club's shop. I don't think VT would be to happy with what, 14 quarts of trans fluid on the parking lot. Haha.

I was low on fluid once, started slipping and coming out of gear (which I think that is the same thing) basically all messed up. But the right amount of fluid in and it was fine.

Haha, don't you have like 140k or something like that? Its so awesome to have people say your Jeep looks awesome. Or anything really. Hard work pays off! Strong believer in that!

Hahaha, that's so awesome too! (Who ever it was obviously didn't know the WJ line, hahaha) but nonetheless. Matt I do believe I am going to over take you on miles one day.

Uh you are so right, the dark blue, is a pain in the *** to keep looking good. But it does look pretty sexy when clean. It is a trade of, while dirt is hidden more on the dark colors, I show scratches more while the lighter colors hide them.

I throw my microfibers in the wash all the time. They come out just like new and soft and fluffy haha. I have a pair of these really really nice dual sided blue/gray microfibers and I use them for my spray wax.

What do you use for car care products, tell us your secrettttsss! Personally Ive found the mothers clay bars are awesome (plus the included lube smells like cinnamon NOM!) and I use turtle wax nxt polish, and eagle nanowax, good for light colored cars. I use bleche white on the tires, invisible glass on the windows, gunk engine brite for engine degreaser, and for interior lexol for the leather armor all for the dash. I'm going to switch to 303 though it's less greasy and I can buy it at work lol! Oh and for everyday washes the armorall wash and wax orange stuff

I use Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax for the wax. Put it on and then use clean t-shirts to wipe it off when it dries. Looks pretty b.a. For a quickie wax I will use Turtle wax Ice with a microfiber. Works good, lasts for a few weeks. (I don't think you can over wax...)

For a car wash I use Meguiars Soap.

Clean the tires/rims by hand with some Purple Power to get the grease and crap off.

I use Invisible Glass of the windows and because it is chlorine free for the tinted windows.

For an engine cleaner, just any old engine degreaser.

The for the Laredo's I use the Meguiars Back to Black Trim detailer (DO NOT GET THIS ON THE PAINT, OR use on the door handles or anything where paint is below, it runs like a mofo)

Interior, vacuum it out and dust it off, nothing fancy. I use carpet cleaner for some of the stains that I made in the backseat... Which works.

I can not think of much else.

Leather makes cleanup mad easy with the seats haha I've used resolve before on the carpet and it works well but when I had the XJ before I retrofitted it with leather I used Tuff Stuff on the cloth and it worked awesome!

My favorite thing for carpet stains is carb and choke cleaner. Works like the bomb . I use it on the seats and carpets. so fast and quick. Unlike many carpet cleaners it also absorbs and dries so fast. (Don't worry about it taking the color out of whatever, like bleach.... It's ok and of all my uses of it have never had a problem.)

And I'm going to have to invest in some of that meguires back to black... My paps Kia (I know I hate them too!) has the white leftover $h!t in the cladding... hate it!

Carb and Choke cleaner?! You would think that eat through the color and what not! Never would have thought of that! But from what you have said it works great? Haha.

Hahahaha hating on the Kia's I do like the product. It works, lasts longer then most others. Aside from repainting, I think its probably one of the best solutions.

No sir it does not eat through the material or color. I use it in the cars, in the house, and on the boat... If you think about using it on your roof for maybe water or smoker stains IDK what it does. That is one place i have never used it. Also stay away from the dash. Once again never tried it. Everything else is fair game. (I have tested a lot on old crappy cars before my dad would scrap them years ago.)

Now the meguires product, does it bring the black back until you wax again or until your wash it? whats the deal?

Wow that is pretty amazing! What did it do to the dash?

Are you talking about the paint or the trim?

Idk what it does but I'm going to say the end result would just be BAD!

Also I meant the trim.

Oh so you don't know what it does? But its plastic so it probably eats through it. Now that I remember, the carb and choke cleaner ate through my plastic cup.

Umm its pretty easy apply, rub it on. (Lol?) And it will last until it rains then you will see some water run marks. Then it will be good for about 2 or 3 car washes. Which is about a month or so.

I dont know what it does to the dash no. never tested it and never tried. I use glass cleaner on it or just the vaccum. I stay away from the dash. I hear a lot of those dash cleaners hurt it more then they protect it.. Also yes it will eat a plastic cup IF you leave it there. (just like gas) I use 2+2 (carb. cleaner) for everything though. haha! Its a great pioson ivy killer also. Better then bleach.
