Do your JK rims have the sensors?
Yupp, they've got sensors, don't know if they'd be compatible with a WJ evic though :/

Hmm! That is a topic worth asking about for sure! I have always wanted to have TPMS, I think it is just SWEET! Especially how it displays each tire's PSI. Do you think if I swap in a console with TPMS and I don't have those tires on (with the sensors) that the console is gonna freak out?

Check this out lol, first hit on eBay! here

(Jeepforum is even advertising against the SOPA act, haha, well it is linked to Wiki)

Drove the Jeep to Sams club, it was a 70 mile round trip haha. (Totally worth it because it is sams) Averaged 19.9 mpg on the EVIC with highway at 70's. This was me and a full tank of gas. What a difference all the weight makes from when I came back to school.

Started right up cold in the parking lot, let it warm up for a few minutes and then was easy on the gas until it warmed up to around the normal mark.

One thing that kinda scared me was that it almost stalled when leaving sams. I was in stop and go traffic, tapping gas then hitting the break, and the one time I hit the gas real quick and hit the brakes, it almost felt like it was going to die, but it didn't. Idk.

the JK TPMS will not work on the WJ
also since your second set of wheels likely have the original TPMS odds are they need new battery's which is not replicable. and if you uses a evic with TPMS and teh wheels dont have them or the battery is dead it will beep at start up and now/then when driing since you are not getting a signal

Its a great system, i had them on the limited, just when the battery goes you need a new one and soemtimes the core or oring wears out and need to rebuild then since they will leak air.

just dont buy a used one unless you need it temporary and can can prove it works. napa and rock auto have them cheaper then mopar.
if you do install it you just need a magnet to train train the TPMS, no special tools. http://wjjeeps.com/tpmsmagnet9.jpg
stock one with a rubber coats so you dont mess up the wheels

Straty: Thanks for the really great info. I will have to check out at some point if those TPMS sensors in the WJ wheels are dead or not. Probably will be a summer project.

I want the TPMS just because it is a really cool feature IMHO! (When it works)

go tighten your kickdown cable a couple clicks, pop the white clip off that says T and very gently slide the cable out to make it tighter. I just did it and my Jeep drives SO much better now. Dont go too far only do it a couple clicks at a time and go test drive

Wait huh WHAT dammit I want one. If you dont like the luminescant I'll trade my 01 gauges for yours, the white face will look nice in a laredo over the black. Not sure how an Ovy cluster will look but I LOVE The font they use and the chromed rings around the gauges. Dammit now you've got me looking at gauges I cant spend any money on the Jeep right now
