Haha I think you misunderstood. I had drilled rotors. They warped so I had them turned.

Oh wow how did I completely fail at that. Guess between lecture, JeepForum, and solitaire... to much multi tasking.

But I was under the impression you could not turn drilled rotors.

Ha ha, i didnt try to say it was a problem, and ofcourse the front ones make more effect.
I know the brake split is about 70/30 for a motorcycle,
I would believe its lower for a car, maybe about 60/40.
Idk about if they can be turned though.
I am just a stupid electrician, lol

Yeah not too sure on the brake split!

Picked up 6 Quarts of Mobil 1 10w-30 Full Syn High Mileage at Wal-Mart for $33, not too bad. I've got my Mopar Filter as well. Oil change... woo-hoo so exciting. Will be sending off another oil sample for testing.

Back to the WJ... I noticed that my E-Fan is AGAIN NOT WORKING!!! (had the hood up and jumper cables on and somehow managed to see it not spinning, anyways). So I check the fuse by the battery and it was blown, replace the fuse and still nothing. Even when I put the AC on the E-Fan won't kick on. The Jeep was definitely warm, it has been idling for probably 30 minutes or more.

Although I have no idea how long the E-Fan hasn't been working. The Jeep stayed at 195* all summer and never had an overheat issue, thanks to the Mechanical Fan.

I do not know if the relay for the E-Fan is under the pass headlight in the 04's still or what. I noticed a Hi and Low Relay in the box by the battery so maybe one of those controls the fan?

Blew a fuse? The motors probably locked up or worn out to a point where its got more drag than its supposed to and now its drawing more current than its supposed to, if it'll even turn on. Recommend new fan and new relay at the same time if you have the relay under the headlight there.

It is a brand new fan assembly, less than a year old, like 8 months. Better not be shot...

Turns out in the 2004's the fan relay is infect in the PDC and not under the headlight. +1 for the 2004s

Maybe I need to check/test/replace those hi and low relays.

Well, finally had an opportunity to take the Rubicon off-roading. Didn't turn out so well at all. Started out on the trail, got about 30 minutes in to wheeling, then shut it off for a broken rig a few ahead of us.

Everything was running perfect before that, nothing was out of the ordinary. We come back to start it after it had been sitting for ~20 minutes, then sh** hit the fan. Started up, kinda, idling at ~300 rpms very very rough, sputtering, and coughing from the intake. Giving it some gas did nothing to help. Upon inspection, nothing was out of ordinary, visually loose, etc. Fluids were all fine. Only thing that was out of the ordinary visually was the pre cat for Cylinders 1-3 was glowing red hot. Then it also smelled like a "cold morning start up".

Long and crappy day short. We strapped it out of trail, thankfully we didn't make it any big obstacles. Then flatbed towed about 2 hours to a local dealership around where I am at. They'll have it until its fixed I guess. No idea what is wrong with it. I've gotten suggestions as far as a clogged cat and a failed coil. Other than that, no idea. Sucks, but what can you do. Will post when I find out more.

That sucks. My thoughts are clogged cat or bad coil rail as well. I thought perhaps bad CPS but if it were causing it to run too rich, both cats would be glowing red.
