They've been great, running the projectors and HID's are a great combo. The high beams are halogen bulbs so there is no warm up time with flashing your high beams.

Didn't think you could run premium fuel unless you ran a tuner ...well I mean I guess you can run it but the safe way is with a tuner

I have the stock housings and I was wondering if there would be a problem running the 55w HIDs for both low and high beam with the stock housings?

I've never heard that before. We've ran premium in all our ATV's, Motorcycles, Jet Skis, Boats, lawn equipment, generators, and other toys. Then Dad and I have always ran premium in the Jeeps on occasion. All the other cars we have require premium, the Jeeps are the only 2 that don't "require" it. I know for all the "toys" he will only put premium in them for whatever reason. Again I've never heard it as "bad" to run premium without a tune.

That's a very bad idea, running HID's in stock halogen housings is not the way to go. I don't want to get into it all. There are dozens of threads on Jeepforum explaining why. The glare of HID's in halogen housings is terrible. Basically don't do it.

Darn.

Dont really want to dump a few hundreds of dollars into new housings, the ones I have are aftermarkets (not from Jeep). With the projectors could you run HIDs in the low and high beams?

Usually, only in the Low Beams. The highs are usually just halogen reflectors. The HIDs take some time to warm up and aren't good for high beams when you need to flash someone. Id only recommend halogens in the high beams.

Opinion time!
1. What bushings in the front take the most beating? The uppers or the lowers?
2. Should I get new stock rear lower control arms to help keep the rear stable?
3. Stock upper control arms and bushing replacement an okay way to go? Compared to like IRO type arms?

1. Uppers on the WJs seem to take the most beating. Granted my lowers are much more beat up but I think that has to do with the New England road salts.

2. If you can budget it, sure. They're VERY easy to replace so its purely budget. Focus on the front first though sounds like you want a tight front end more than anything.

3. Yes. Especially if you're going to have a freshly rebuilt driveshaft you're probably unlikely to encounter driveline vibes from less than perfect front pinion angle under 3" lift.

Well the good new continues. I am FINALLY getting major work done to the WJ! Here is everything that is getting done.

Front Related:
  1. Front Lower IRO CA's - Caster set to 6.5*
  2. Front Upper Control arms - Mopar
  3. Front Axle Upper Bushings - Mopar
  4. Ball Joints

Rear Related:
  1. A-Arm - Mopar
  2. Ball Joint - Mopar
  3. Rear Lower CA's - Mopar

Fluids:
  1. Brake Fluid Replace and Bleed
  2. Power Steering Flush and new Fluid, the Mopar Spec
  3. Drain and Replace Coolant with Zerex G05 or whatever it is

Misc Parts:
  1. Front Drive Shaft Rebuild
  2. Front Output Yoke is getting checked
  3. Tranmission Crossmember Replaced
  4. Emergency Brake Fix
  5. Electric Fan Replaced
  6. New U-Joints for Rear D.S.
  7. Rear Brake Rotors and Pads - if needed

I think that is most of it. Parts are being ordered this week and its getting dropped off on the 3rd!
