I was pretty pissed off when I saw how bad it was. But, the bottom half of the perch was not all that bad. Meaning it still had structural integrity. And isnt going to "slip" off without some serious force off the road. Still need to keep it in mind. Going to talk to some friends/mechanics that I have and see what he says. I sent him that picture of it and I said sarcastically, "Is this bad?" and the conversation ensued. He wanted too see it in person and try to figure out what else to do. I will tell him about cutting it off and welding in a new section of steel pipe that is the same size.

That looks like a pretty good option there and fairly simple process. I was considering using this as an excuse to get a Dana 30 with a vari-lock in it. But that is also a lot of effort. Do you have any pictures of yours?

never snapped a pic ...i was more worried about temp fixing it

The bad perches are on the front axle. Which is a Dana 30.

The rears were the Dana 35c and 44a

VA huh? Only 16ish hours away! Haha. Damn. I'd have been glad to throw a weld or two down for ya.

Band - been pushing hard for two years. A good friend, my twin brother, and I started it back when. We play almost twice a weekend and are starting to travel. Right now we do smaller bars and short trips up to an hour and 15 here and there. I think our biggest crowd was around 2,000 people for an MMA American hero fight night. I'm getting married in a few weeks so am gracefully bowing out and taking over managing/booking. I'm hoping to set a small tour up for the 'new band' soon about 3-4 hours away out in Missouri. Check us out if you have a free minute or two - www.LeavingAshland.com. I think most of the videos are older stuff but it still shows our harmonies and such. It's been a lot of fun and I'm pretty excited about how far we've gone in such a short amount of time. I'm sure gonna miss it.

Looks like it would be a little bit of a drive over to my house. I wish you were closer too! Would have been nice to have someone i know local who can weld!

Ohh that type of band, i was in band in middle/high school etc. Least i can play a few insturments and read music. But that is pretty cool man. I wish check that out when i get off mobile.

So the front axle was off centered as expected about an inch or so. Will this be okay for a week or two until I get my jks bar on?

You should be fine being off centered for a short amount of time.

I have this same lift, springs and bilsteins sitting in my living room. need to get other parts before i do the install.

mine is surely not as clean as yours though. nice build!!

It's pretty straight forward really. Threaded end with the jam nut goes towards the lower, passenger side on the axle. I put mine on upside down the first time.

There are a few different ways to go about it. I used a ratchet strap to center the axle - not the easiest way. An easier way is to take off the track bar, turn your steering wheel to 'center' the axle, and put the new track bar on. Then, measure to see how far off you are. If you are off an inch, adjust the track bar a half inch. Re-install. Moving the axle by turning the wheel is the easier method though.
