So, I was doing some more "pondering" and this came to my mind. When I get around to putting my JKS TB in and move the axle back over the 3/4 of an inch to recenter, is that going to throw the steering wheel back off? (When I say "back" to being off is because I am getting all that stuff installed this weekend and getting it aligned.)

Figured. At least this time I should be able to turn it! ;)

Have someone sit in the jeep and watch the steering wheel while you turn the drag link. Also a good idea to go forward and reverse a few times to make sure the tires are actually straight.

Thanks for the tip!

Hahahaha, I think that is fifth post about something on your Jeep breaking! Careful now, you are quickly catching up to me ;)

Which line is it?

Guessing at the fittings?

#4,407 ·
Well time for some new hoses then! hahaha. Its creeping 200k i'm not too surprised.

Been tossing the idea of getting a Rola Roof Basket. Just don't know if it will fit in the garage.

Shoot man, how tall is your garage?! We have to put the Land Rover's air suspension down to get it to fit.

:dunno: standard size, if such exist...my guess is the entrance is somewhere around 7'6"...maybe 8'.... the roof of my Jeep is taller than I am...I'm 6'1"...add the rails and basket...another foot....oh yeah, one day I had my soare 33" on the basket....I forgot...I pulled in...it fit....then I remember....it skinned the tire but since the sidewalk flexes, it did just that...flexed and in I went.....

I guess mine is the regular size? Haha. There probably is some sort of standard. But, at my dad's, there is a really high ceiling, at moms its just more of a low ceiling.

But i never really stopped mid way through to check clearance. Guess i need to. I just figured since the land rover barely fit, the jeep would be coming close with a lift and a rack on it.

I have higb ceilings too but its the garage door entrance that isn't so tall

Doing some googling and garage doors are between 7 and 8 feet high depending. Ill take a tape measure too mine when its open. because they are all different depending on how far you have your opener set.

#4,415 ·
I meant to measure mine recently but it slipped my mind. I *think* I have 11 inches to spare where I currently stand. I'll measure it tonight when I get home. I'm betting it's about 7.5' tall.

#4,416 ·
That sounds about right, mid 7 foot range. I am 6 foot 1 and the Jeep is now taller then me with ease. The roof is a little higher then me.

I thought my oil filter was leaking, it was actually the PS reservoir leaking onto and dripping from the oil filter. There's a $7 gasket between the reservoir and pump - I'm going to replace that guy and see if it fixes the issue. LMK if you want the part number for that.

#4,419 ·
Larry, from what Billz said, is it your pump hose or the oil filter?

#4,421 ·
Well if you are loosing fluid pressure because of the leak, thatd make sense to why its be tough to turn. Also your running bigger tires which doesnt help. But if it has just started getting worse, id put two and two together.
