Mine does it too. I think is has something to do with the track bar not being completely parallel to the drag link? Something with the geometry of the steering components.

All Moog TRE's and adjusting sleeves.

Well thank you too. The first package to come to me from Hawaii ever!

How in the world did it get bent??
Mall crawling....web wheeling...ha ha ha...sarcasm

I don't remember, either Ocatillo wells or Calico....probably a big rock....fortunately I have a stock tie rod to replace it with....its cheaper to replace it with stock parts, at least this part is....

Mine is off too lol I'm going to do the tre's and If that doesn't fix it I'll be upgrading to a Durango steering box
That a direct swap?

Hmmm you did the moog upgrade already right? Those two not being parallel does apparently cause bump steer from what I've heard

The Moog sleeve was only like 25 bucks man.

Really, as In the whole bar? Good to know.
Heck yeah man. The really long tie rod sleeve was like 25 and the the drag link was like 23. Check out rockauto.com. that is where i got my stuff at.

Cool. I didn't know they were that cheap. I bought a used spare tie rod for $40 with good TREs....
Thats not bad. What type of tie rods?

Gotcha. Didn't know if it was after market or something like that.

yeah i did the moog upgrade. Defiantly tightened my steering up, but it needs an alignment. The threads on the moog tres vs stock are different i believe. It still tracks straight, but i have horrible tire wear now (ordering new tires soon). Plus my steering wheel is off centered. An alignment should fix everything once and for all. Not sure about bump steer tho, you would need to mess around with the geometry and that can get expensive.

Nope. That would be shooting themselves in the foot to make TREs with a different thread than stock. The Moog TREs are a stock replacement part that happens to have been beefed up in a few critical areas. They are still threaded M24 x 1.5mm.

Anything suspension is gonna be expensive. Ughhhh. It sounds like you need a serious alignment. Why would you wait???

Its not that bad. The tow is the only thing slightly off causing tire wear. The offset steering wheel isn't really a problem, just an inconvenience. The tires are already shot so I'm just holding off for a month until i get new tires then i can get it dialed in for good. Plus i don't have the money to get it aligned at the moment haha. Getting paid every two weeks sucks!

So when my jeep is sitting still I can only turn the wheel a quarter of a turn before it gets so stiff it won't turn, I'm guessing my ps pump is shot
Oops that sucks. I'd guess so man. Why is stuff breaking on your jeep like everyday hahw

Ooooo that's some detail that would have helped. Crap tires.

Totally jealous minus the miles. I love the 04 overland seats. They are amazing. Wanna trade?

Lol I love them too! Miles don't bother me since the engine was rebuilt at 168,000
Ohhh that's nice. :) planning on keeping the jeep for a long time then.

#4,361 ·
Same here man, running it for as long as I can!

#4,363 ·
How long have you had it? I don't know if I will ever get to that point. I want to buy another Jeep, such as in XJ to beat to hell.
