Thanks guys now i know and learned something new today also. So the u joint can handle more of an angle and is stronger right?
I may have to look into this soon, cause of the vibrations i described, maybe its better i just upgrade to dobbel cardon with u joint Than struggling with That crappy cv joint?

To my current knowledge and what I have picked up here on JeepForum and Pirate4x4:
- Double Cardon Joint is better then a CV joint.
- Double cardon can handle more of an angle for a lift.
- U-Joints are ususally better then a CV

Go under your Jeep and take pics like I did and post up! Lets see what you got!

There are so many variations that Jeep did with the front driveshafts!

Correct, and upgrading while your in there sure wouldn't hurt.

There are different types of driveshafts that you need to remember:

I have the double cardan-rzeppa, and its doing well at 3" of lift.

Rzeppa-rzeppa is the worst it gets, and I've read of guys blowing them up with a BB while climbing a curb. Haha

Well did you see the picture of the drive shaft that was for sale on ebay? did you also see the picture of my front drive shaft? I'd have to buy the yoke separate. I plan on going 2-3 inches down the road. So it is worth buying that shaft of ebay now and just holding on to it?

Which end is your double cardon joint on? t-case or the axle?

My front drive shaft setup is not pictured above lol.

I have a single u-joint at the axle and a rzeppa CV at the t-case. That is why i would need a new yoke when and if I get that driveshaft. I think that it will already meet up with my axle fine seeing how my current shaft and this new shaft both have a u-joint.

You said the new driveshaft is 31"s?
Did you go under and measure yours as well?

Ebay seller - "Cherokee front drive shaft in good shape. Measures 31 inches from ujoint center to ujoint center when collapsed. Extends approx 4 inches. Length generally found on 4.0, automatic Cherokees 87-02 and Grands 93-95. Please measure your current drive shaft to make sure that it will fit your Jeep."

That is the listed description. But the title also mentions grand Cherokee.

nope I have not measured mine, I am in college at Virginia Tech and wont have my Jeep for the first semester.

No, nothing like That, nothing in steering wheel or the whole Jeep, its just a very small vibration like Uneven road surface but its speed related, and i am Really sure its drivetrain. Dosnt usualy drive in That speed all the time so it hasnt been a big bigger yet, but something That i need to track down when i Get the time.

Hmm yea, I am not really sure what to tell you on that one. I am not that good at tracking down vibes. But, the driveline would be a good place to start.
