Its a handful thats for sure...the tire size and lift makes it really want to wander so you have to be diligent!!

Other than that I love it!! The gas mileage is crap BTW

so how do you like the IRO steering set up, any problems in slop with the heims or anything? im thinking about ordering it as my IRO long arms screwed up my steering as well.

edit: went back tot he last post of the last page and answered my own question... guess i skipped over it earlier. but would you still recommend it at all?

Sweep your camber forward a little more. My 3.5 lift was the same way. Directions said 3 degrees. And I was all over the place. Went to 5 degrees and handled fine after that. Now I dont have to have my hands at 2 and 10

I like my Jeep, just like my women. 'Loose and Flexible'

My buddy with the blue coveralls Installed an aftermarket tranny cooler today. And I replaced the t-case fluid.

My bud, did a hell of a job with the cooler. Looks halfway stock

He had the cooler already that he got for free...so the only cost was on the hoses that I had custom made They were 'Spensive!

Today was the day I decided to install the Cobra 29WX CB radio I have had sitting around. The CB didnt work, so I took it to get fixed $36 later and its like new, but the face light doesnt work

I wanted it to have constant power, so I spliced it to the power outlet beside the cigar lighter. All splices are soldered and shrink tubed. Then I used some 3/8" split loom to hide any visible wires. All in all I am quite pleased how well it went and it looks good. Will see if the mount is sturdy enough where it is mounted soon enough I guess

I ordered a Firestik antenna bracket and coaxial cable, so I am just waiting for that to arrive so I can plumb that all in

Now...what should I go with, a 4' or an 8' antenna? Im just gonna run one antenna.

Gratuitous pix.

Pardon my ignorance, but Trail legal antenna?

Is that a state requirement?

Keep in mind I am Canadian...

If im gonna get decent range out a 4', I would just prefer that anyways...less chance of ripping it off!!

alot of trails do not allow whip antennas because they can get snagged on trees and then violently "whip" which could cause injury to a bystander. its not a federal law or anything, just whoever owns the property. alot of parks dont allow them though just because of liability i guess. and ive never heard of anyone getting a noticeable decrease in range with a 4', im sure there is on scientific paper etc dealing with sine waves and all that due to it being only 1/2 the wavelength long instead of the full 8' but it is negligible from all ive read. this is just what i remember from when i read up on all of this awhile back.
